Grocery Deals
Starting at Jewel, there’s a great deal on Ritz crackers! Ritz crackers and Ritz Crackerfuls are $2.50 a box. Buy 4 at a time, and you will get an instant savings of $3.00. So, you’re at $7 for your 4 boxes — still not much of a deal. But here come the coupons..!
With the “Buy Ritz, get Ritz Crackerfuls Free” coupon from 8/23 SS, another $2.50 will come off your total. Then, use the .75 off 2 coupon from 8/23 SS on the two regular boxes of Ritz you’re buying. Now, you’re at $3.75 for 4 boxes!
But if you’re a multiple-insert person, here’s where this deal really starts to shine! With a SECOND B1G1F Ritz coupon, you’ll get another $2.50 off, paying just $1.25 for your 4 boxes of Ritz. That’s about .32 a box!
If you don’t get multiple inserts, 7/12 SS has a $1 off Ritz Crackerfuls coupon there too. With one of those and one of the B1G1F coupons, you’ll pay $3.50 for 4 boxes — about .88 a box! Still a very good deal…
Here’s a good deal on Eggo waffles spotted by DealDiva in our forum! Buy 5 boxes of Eggos at $1.99 each and save $5 instantly, making them just .99 a box without coupons. But of course, we LOVE our coupons… and there are some good ones to use with this deal!
Use the $1 off 2 Eggos coupon from the 8/2 KL insert. With one coupon, your 5 boxes work out to .79 a box! If you have two of these, pay $2.95 for your 5 boxes… that’s .59 a box!
If you happened to pick up the “Kellogg’s Fuel for School” coupon books found at Jewel in August, the same coupons are inside, with an additional goodie — a coupon for $2 off FRUIT when you buy Eggos! You could get some free fruit AND cheap waffles with this deal if you’ve still got those on hand :)
These are the Eggos involved with this promo:
Blueberry
Buttermilk
Chocolate Chip
Cinnamon Toast
French Toast
Homestyle
Mini Waffles
Strawberry
Let’s take home some FREE toothpaste! Certain varieties of Colgate toothpaste are on sale for $1 a tube. Use the $1 Colgate coupon from 9/13 SS and take this home for $0!
The Wacky Mac pasta sale continues this week. It’s $1 a bag, and if you didn’t use your .75 coupons from 5/10 SS before, you can use them again here to get this pasta for just .25 a bag! And/or, print two more .25 coupons for more cheap pasta…
There’s a decent Catalina deal running now through 9/27 on Scott paper products. Buy 2 Scott items from DIFFERENT categories and get $2 for your next shopping trip. Or, buy 3 from 3 different categories and get $3 for your next trip.
When these deals state different categories, they mean one item must come from each kind of product Scott makes – toilet paper (ahem… officially, “bath tissue,”) paper towels, or flushable wipes.
So, if you need rolls of paper towels or flushable wipes, this isn’t a bad deal. While there are many Scott coupons out, they all require multiples of the same item, which isn’t going to help us here. But, these prices aren’t bad even without coupons!
However, if you save all of your Catalinas (and you should!) you may be sitting on a stash of $1 Scott coupons for either paper towels or wipes. And that’s where this deal could start to get good…
A flushable wipes/tissue deal
Scott Flushable Wipes are $2 a package
Single rolls of Scott are .89 each (these will be our fillers here!)
With no coupons, pay $2.89 and get $2 back. Just .89 for the flushable wipes — an excellent price — AND a roll of TP! With a $1 Catalina, you’re MAKING money on this deal…
A paper towel/tissue deal
Scott single rolls of paper towels are $1.89
Use a single roll of Scott for a filler
With no coupons, pay $2.78 and get $2 back! .78 for the paper towels and TP. With a $1 Catalina for Scott paper towels, again, you’ll pay $1.78 and get $2 back… FREE and moneymakers!
Did you hear about the new Catalina deal running at Jewel on Campbell’s soups and other products? Buy $15 or more of participating Campbell’s products and get a coupon for $5 off your next shopping order.
Here are your matchups…
Campbell’s Condensed Soups – .40 off 2 – 9/13 SS, $1 off 2
Campbell’s Condensed Chicken Noodle or Tomato – .40 off 4 – 9/13 SS
Campbell’s Select Harvest Soups – .50 off 2 – 8/16 SS, 9/13 SS – .40 off 2 – 9/20 SS
Pepperidge Farm Bread – $1 off when you buy 3 cans Campbell’s Soup – Jewel Preferred Card Update coupon book
Swanson Chunk canned chicken – $0.60 off 2 – 9/13 SS
V8 Splash or Smoothies – $1.00 off 2 – 9/13 SS
With the deals above, buying the total dollar amount required (NOT including tax! Make sure you are over, pre-tax) will generate your Catalinas. However, you can potentially save even more money on these already great deals.
If you are VERY NEW at couponing and not comfortable doing a high-level Catalina deal differently than what the ad specifies, skip this and move on to the Dominick’s deals for this week. But if you are comfortable with a higher-level deal…
My black belt couponers know that these deals typically work differently at Jewel than at any other store.
VERY IMPORTANT: If you have never done a high-level Catalina deal at Jewel before, please read this short overview of the way the price structure works. In a nutshell, if you base your dollar-spent mark on the non-Preferred prices, you can save even more money and spend less out of pocket.
It is entirely up to you if you would like to work the deal in this way, but understand that IF you do, and the Catalina does not print, you can NOT go to the service counter and ask/demand that they reimburse you. You are working this sale in a different way than the ad specifies, and you’re on your own if you choose to do this. Know that you are accepting ANY outcome, including getting NO Catalinas.
You can mix and match any items in the list to get to that price mark. It’s important to remember that the non-preferred prices vary at EVERY store, and in some cases there are three prices (shelf, sale, and Preferred) on each item. If there is a fourth price (“Big Relief,” this is the price you use.)
If this makes no sense or is the least bit confusing to you… do NOT do the deal in this way. These high-level Catalina deals can be very confusing, especially when you’re new at this. If you are new, use the PREFERRED price only, and you’ll get the Catalina every time.
But if you’re a “black belt” couponer and want to maximize your savings… here are some of the best deals. You will also note that there are many items in the deal that are not advertised – thanks to Tracey for the spreadsheet. Again, if you use these scenarios and do not get your Catalina, do NOT go to Customer Service and ask them to make it right for you. You WILL NOT have purchased what the ad states that you must. Again, YOU are taking the risk on these deals. You must be willing to accept ANY outcome without complaining, even if it means not getting any Catalinas at all.
Campbells Tomato or Chicken Noodle deal
Buy 20 cans of the above soups. Pay $10 and get $5! Cheap soup at .25 a can! With coupons, it’s even better… use as many .40 off 4 coupons as you have. If you’re a multiple-insert person, four .40 coupons would have you paying $8.40 and getting $5 back… 20 cans of soup for $3.40… that’s .17 each!
Campbells Select Harvest deal
Buy eight cans Select Harvest. Use two .50 off 2 coupons. With two coupons, pay $9 and get $5 back. Cheap GOOD soup!
Campbells and Pepperidge Farm bread deal
2 loaves Pepperidge Farm $2.99 cinnamon swirl bread
9 cans of Campbells tomato or chicken noodle soup
Use $1 Pepperidge Farm coupon from Jewel and any Campbell’s coupons you have. With just the Preferred coupon, pay $9.48 and get $5 back! Use as many Campbells soup coupons as you have here too.
Pepperidge Farm cookie deal
Buy 5 bags of cookies ($2 each.) Pay $10 and get $5. Cheap cookies!
Pepperidge Farm Goldfish deal
Buy 8 bags of Goldfish ($1.25 each.) Pay $10 and get $5. Cheap goldfish!
V8 juices deal
Buy four V8 Splashes. Pay $8 and get $5! That’s $0.75 each, with no coupons… with one $1 off 2 coupon, pay $7 and get $5! With two, pay $6 and get $5… and your juices are a QUARTER each!
(Remember to ALWAYS, ALWAYS verify regular/sale/big relief/preferred prices at the PRICE SCANNER for YOUR store before relying on these quantity breakdowns. This cannot be stressed enough. It is never fun to be pennies off from a deal because your store has an item priced a little lower than others.)
And, remember to roll your Cats! Take the Catalina you get and go right back and use it to bring your out-of-pocket down on your next round of items.
Heading to Dominick’s, the big deal of the week that everyone’s talking about is the “Buy 4, save $4 AND get a free box of CapriSun” when you buy selected General Mills products. (Finally, an actual Dominick’s deal worth getting excited about!)
Here are your matchups:
8.9 oz. Cheerios: (No current “plain” Cheerios coupons)
12.8 oz. Cinnamon Toast Crunch: $1 off 1 – August All You
10.7 ox. Trix: $1 off 1 – August All You
12 oz. Honey Grahams: (no current)
11.8 oz. Cocoa Puffs: $1 off 1 – August All You, .75 off 1, $1 off 2
12.8-14.25 Chex: $1 off 2 – 8/23 SS
7.29-9 oz. Nature Valley Granola Bars: .70 off 2 – 8/9 GM, .40 off 1 – 9/13 GM, .40 off 1, .40 off 1
4.5-9 oz. Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks:
Nature Valley Nut Clusters: $1 off 1 – 8/9 GM, 8/23 SS, 9/13 GM, $1 off 1, $1 off 1
(Even MORE expired coupons are out for many of these – use www.hotcouponworld.com’s expired coupon database to find locations!)
ALL of these items ring at $2.50 each, but for every 4 you buy, you get $4 in instant savings, PLUS a Catalina for a free box of Capri-Sun. This deal does “stack up,” meaning, you can do up to 20 items in one transaction, per day, and receive $20 in instant savings AND four Capri-Sun Catalinas!
With coupons, MANY of these things are dirt cheap. But before I get to your scenarios, head over to ShortCuts and load the following discounts to your Fresh Values card:
.50 off 2 Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks
$1 off 1 Nature Valley Nut Clusters
.40 off 1 Nature Valley Granola Bars
.40 1 Betty Crocker Fruit Shapes
.55 off Trix
.75 off Cocoa Puffs
And, go to Cellfire and load the following…
.40 off 1 Nature Valley Granola Bars
$1 off Nature Valley Nut Clusters
Do you see where this is headed? We’re going to be double-dipping on some of these items! Now we’re ready to play! Here’s a scenario you could do:
1 Cocoa Puffs cereal
1 Nature Valley Granola Bars
1 Nature Valley Nut Clusters
1 Betty Crocker Fruit Shapes
Pre-coupon, we’re at $10 – with instant savings, we’re at $6. Now, let’s add coupons:
Cocoa Puffs are $1.50 – .75 coupon, -.75 Shortcuts ecoupon = FREE
Nature Valley Granola are $1.50 – .40 coupon – .40 ecoupon – .40 ecoupon = .30
Nature Valley Nut Clusters are $1.50 – $1 coupon – $1 ecoupon – $1 ecoupon = FREE with $1.50 OVERAGE
Betty Crocker Fruit Shapes are $1.50 – .40 coupon – .40 ecoupon = .70
So, our grand total, out of pocket, for these four items is a NEGATIVE .50 – AND we’ll get a FREE box of Capri-Sun too! You will actually need to throw something else into this transaction with a value of .50 or more to eat up this overage.
Want a good suggestion? If you truly have nothing else to get at Dominick’s, print this $1 off Artisan Breads coupon for Dominick’s, and look for a small loaf — they’re usually $1.69. With the coupon, the bread will be .69 – and after your overage, you’ll pay just .19 and tax and take home ALL THIS!
Or, at the same link, Dominick’s has a coupon for $1 off Eating Right baby carrots. They’re usually around $2-$3 a bag, so you could work some cheap produce in here too. :)
With multiple coupons, you can just keep going on that “Buy 4, save $4” deal too! Remember, no more than 20 items in the same transaction per day… and enjoy!
Another promo that caught my eye this week was the “Clean It Like You Mean It” sale at Doms. Buy one cleaning product and get another participating product free. There is no limit to how many you can buy and get free — if you’re a spreadsheet person, here’s your spreadsheet for this sale, from SlickDeals.
Participating products include:
Glade
Clorox
409
Pine Sol
Lysol
Windex
Fantastik
Scrubbing Bubbles
Kaboom
Pledge
Hefty
Safeway
Febreze
Mr. Clean
Swiffer
AirWick
As I said, this promo caught my eye — but disappointingly, unless you NEED much of this right now, it’s not a must-do sale. Dominick’s unfortunately didn’t list any of the prices of any of these things in their ad, and they’re also no longer accepting 2 coupons on a B1G1F sale — another way to really bring the prices of these items down. However, again, if you need any of these things, check out the expired coupon database at www.hotcouponworld.com — do your matchups, and go shop! :)
Lastly for Doms… if you have the 2009 Entertainment Book, remember that there’s a $5 off $50 coupon in there too that you can work into one of your Dominick’s trips before the book expires at the end of this year. If you use this, always give the cashier that coupon FIRST, before the rest of your coupons, as your total will probably (hopefully!) dip under $50 after the rest of your coupons. And, if you’re interested in the 2010 Entertainment Book, it’s got FOUR $5-off-$50 coupons for Dominick’s in it, valid this fall and throughout the next year. Nice!
At Meijer, blog readers Judi Cookie and Parsh5 spotted a great one on Deli Creations sandwiches. They’re currently $2 each. Meijer Mealbox (mealbox.meijer.com) has a store coupon for $2 off 2. And, 9/20 SS has a $1 off 2 coupon you can stack. So, buy 2 sandwiches – get $3 total savings on both, and it works out to just .50 each! A steal for these prepackaged deli sandwiches! Print another two coupons here and get even more cheap sandwiches!
This deal’s still running too… Oscar Mayer Lunchables paired with the $1 Lunchables coupon from 8/23 SS equals FREE Lunchables…! AND, Print another $1 coupon here!
Meijer also has a deal going on FREE potatoes! (Who doesn’t like free produce?) Buy any 2 of the following products and get a free 5lb. bag of russet potatoes valued at $2.50. This is an instant-savings deal so buy the potatoes WITH your items… and here are your qualifiers:
-Kraft 8 oz grated parmesan cheese
-32 oz Velveeta
– Cheez Whiz cans
No current insert coupons for these, but it’s supposed to run through the first week of October, so we can keep our eyes open…
Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes. This is why I don’t blog too many Meijer deals…
Over at Target, you could potentially take home some CHEAP mascara! Rimmel “Extra Super Lash” is marked down to $2.29 at many Target locations. Pair this with the $2 coupons from 8/23 RP or September All You and take it home for just .29 — this variety is the only kind I’m aware of being marked down, so check with the price scanner to make sure you’ve got the right one.
Still at Target, if you recently received a $1.50 coupon for Tide Stain Release stain lifter (these were distributed via direct mail, as well as in numerous magazines, like Parents, Good Housekeeping, and Oprah) this would be a great time to use it. Tide Stain Release is $3.74 at Target. The 8/23 RP also has a $1.50 Target store coupon you can stack with this. With $3 in coupon value, your Tide Stain Release is a super-cheap .74!
Note that Tide Stain Release comes in 3 varieties – powder, “packs” (which look oddly like Cascade or Electrasol dishwasher detergent packs!) and a liquid form. The liquid can be found by the Spray N’ Wash, and it’s the only form you can also use as a pretreater directly on stains! Sounded good to me… and it took all the ketchup and cake frosting stains out of my 2-year-old’s white t-shirt after the coupon picnic this weekend..!
If you didn’t get the $1.50 coupon, the 8/30 PG also has a .75 coupon — you can still stack this with the $1.50 Target coupon, but you’ll pay $1.49 … your call. Sometimes we see Spray N’ Wash, Shout, etc cheaper than this — but it’s been awhile. If you need a laundry pretreater, that’s still not too bad a price.
AND, while you’re at Target, check for two great 75% off sales running at many stores. The first is on school supplies — a great time to stock up on notebooks, paper, glue, markers, crayons and other things you might want or need throughout the year.
Second, check out the summer footwear 75% clearance too! This weekend, I found numerous pairs of sandals in the $3.98 range – leather sandals for under $10, and pool shoes (those aqua-socks things) for the kids for $1.98 a pair! GREAT deals to be had!
For my Rockford-area readers, Hilander‘s got some good cheapies and freebies this week…
Dial hand soap pumps are still $1 each. With the .35 coupon from 8/16 SS doubled to .70, these are just .30 each…
Brut deodorant is $1, and with the .55 coupon doubled to $1.10, it’s FREE! (Note that you do not get coupon overage with doubles, but you will get your “essence of man” for FREE…)
Have you seen the new electronic coupons for Hilander/Kroger stores? SoftCoin recently added support for Kroger stores (including Hilander) for their new electronic coupons for Unilever products! Click here to check them out… they load to your card the same way that Cellfire/PGE/ShortCuts do, meaning we now have FOUR sets of electronics we can stack with at Kroger stores. WOW!
Drugstore Deals
Heading to Walgreens, there are some good Register Rewards deals running once again:
ThermaCare Heat Wraps (1ct) are $2.49. Pay $2.49 and get $2.49 back in RRs! FREE Thermacare…
Oral B Indicator toothbrushes are $2 each, and when you buy two, you get a $2 RR. Use the Buy One, Get One Free Oral-B coupon from 8/29 RP – pay $2 and get $2! More free toothbrushes!
Here’s another good deal if you like smelly things! AirWick iMotion air fresheners are $6.99. With the $6 coupons from 8/30 and 9/13 SS, you’ll pay just .99 after coupon (cheaper than a refill!)
Aussie Hair Care products are CHEAP this week too. Buy two shampoos, conditioners, or styling products at $2.99 each and get a $2 RR. Use the $2 off 2 coupon from 9/13 RP, pay $3.98 and get $2 back – that works out to just .99 a bottle…
And this one is especially for my beautiful mom, who likes Sally Hansen nail polish… it’s currently 40% off, selling for $1.38 a bottle. With the $1 coupon from 8/2 RP, it’s just .38! The 9/13 RP has a .50 coupon too, which would make another bottle .88… and, this also ties in nicely with a Register Reward promo! Get $3 in RR for a future Sally Hansen purchase when you buy 2 Sally Hansen products, or get $5 in RRs for a future Sally Hansen purchase when you buy 3.
And over at CVS, Crest Pro Health toothpaste toothpaste is free or cheap after Extra Care Bucks! It’s $2.99 with a $2 ECB coming back to you at checkout. With the .75 coupon from 8/30 PG, it’s just .24! With the $1 coupon from the P&G $120 Year of Savings book, you will pay $1.99 and get $2 back…FREE and a penny moneymaker!
If you like Brut deodorant and aren’t near a Hilander, it’s not too bad a deal at CVS this week either. CVS is selling it for $1.49. With the same .55 coupon from 9/20 SS, it’s just $0.94…
FREE Yoplait Whips yogurt coupon
FREE single M&M/Mars chocolate (every Friday through September 2009.)
FREE coupons that are still current:
8/30 PG – $1 off ANY size Tide (Jewel and Target sell single-load travel size Tides for $1 – exp. 9/30/09)
Note that the P&G $120 Year of Savings book also has this coupon in it, also expiring 9/30/09. And, there’s a $1 off any size Downy in the same book — both stores also carry a travel size Downy for the same price.
August All You, p. 95 – FREE Jack Links Buffalo Chicken Nuggets (expires 9/30/09)
8/9 SS – FREE Glade Fragrance Collections candle (exp. 10/3/09)
8/30 SS – FREE roll of Marcal toilet paper, paper towels, or facial tissue (exp. 10/15/09)
9/13 SS – $1 off ANY purchase at a store that takes coupons when you use your Discover card (exp. 10/31/09)
8/2 SS – FREE jar Beech-Nut Stage 3 Fruit baby food (exp. 12/31/09) [regional insert for NON-Tribune newspapers – a rarity]
9/13 SS – FREE Freshpet Select Homestyle refrigerated pet meal (exp. 12/31/09) [regional insert for NON-Tribune newspapers – another rarity]
As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically 20-30 of them. Many websites are now tracking the All You coupons and matching them to deals, just as they do with the newspaper coupon inserts. You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

If you’re reading the Dominick’s deals late on Monday vs. Tuesday – the Cellfire coupons I reference aren’t active yet but will be by Tuesday morning.

3rd paragraph under Jewel’s deals reads, “paying just $21.25 for your 4 boxes of Ritz. That’s about .32 a box!” I believe you wanted to write, “paying just $1.25…” You probably still had great memories of the picnic floating around in your brain because I’m absolutely certain you wouldn’t consider $21.25 for 4 boxes of Ritz worthy of a deal.
Thanks for all your great write-ups. I absolutely love the new format with the store logos!

$1.60 coupon for Nut Clusters, makes it even more a money maker. Great job this week Jill.

I have done this deal 3 times, but this week has better pricing with 40% off nail polish. Get $3 RR when you buy 2 Sally Hansen or get $5 RR when you buy 3 Sally Hansen. I bought 2 diamond nail polish and 1 of the cheaper nail polish, I used 3-$1 coupons along with the $5 RR from a prior purchase to get free nail polish. And the deal rolls, I got another $5 RR to buy more nail polish with, I am going to have to open a nail studio.
BJ says
Jill, I am not sure your Aussie deal at Wags is correct. The ad says after rr the cost is $.99. Correct me if I am wrong.
jeank says
Here’s one that I worked for myself. Roots of Nature hair product was on sale for $6 with a $6 RR. I went in again and picked up two 20 pack Mucinex DM on sale for $9.99, used my $6RR and got a $5 RR back. Went in again and picked up 2 bottles of 28oz. Pine Sol at 2 for $5, used my $5 RR and got a $2 RR. Went in again and used the 5/$1.00 gelatin coupon in the Wags flyer and the 8 for $1 Halloween pencil coupon in the Wags flyer and used my $2 RR to get them free.
Probably not useful for someone who doesn’t use Mucinex but it worked for me.

Has any one else had trouble printing these long topics? I just tried to print this whole note, and got 3 pages. The first just had the “Jill Cataldo” header and nothing else. Page 2 starts with “Deals for September 23” and goes to the first paragraph in the Jewel Osco section. Everything after that never prints! Page 3 is the Forum Topics footer. For some reason all the stuff in the middle is missing. It’s not wrapping to new pages automatically.
I’ve had to extract the text to notepad and print from there. I’m pretty sure I’ve had this problem all along. I just usually copy the text to my PDA instead of printing, but this week needed a hard copy.
I’m using Firefox 3.0.13 from a Vista infected peecee. I’m not a web programmer, but I’m guessing there’s something non standard in the page formatting that Microsoft does that is incompatible with industry standards browsers.
===
And while I’m on the subject, any chance of a “Format for Printing” option here? [like what most newspapers have on their sites] What does print is especially wasteful of paper. I printed this entire note on 5 pages reformatted in notepad, without the graphics, and using the entire paper width. It must be a dozen or more pages when printed as formatted for the screen.
If this isn’t possible with the current software, please put it on the wish list for the Forum 2.0 in the future. Along with the search that actually works :-(
And again, thanks for making all this information available to us. It was great meeting you this weekend, even if it was just long enough to say hello as you were arriving and I was leaving.

I use the highlight and “print selection” each week. I only print the selections I actually need to run to the grocery store, and take notes for my grocery list at other stores.
Today, I only printed the eggo/flushable wipes portions. I used the same piece of paper, and fed it in different directions.
couponvanalek says
When I bought 8 of these yesterday, I received a catalina coupon for buy 6, save $3….More $.50 deli creations!

I’m very excited about this Dominicks GM deal but won’t it only work out to $.19 once because you can only use the ecoupons once? Please correct me if I’m wrong…please, I want to be wrong! :)

I’m relatively new at this so I was wondering if you can do multiples of the Instant Savings deals in one transaction? For example, the Ritz deal with the Eggo deal. Also can you do the Campbell Soup deal and still get the Catalina if you have it in the same transaction as an Instant Savings Deal?
maggie says
I have tried to print this coupon from home and from the office, but both times I can’t get it to work. It keeps telling me to install the coupon printer! Anyone else have this problem? I would love to be able to print this coupon though, so if there’s another way to print this, can someone please let us know? Thanks!

that is being given out this week when purchasing 3 items is a $5 off a Sally Hansen item not off your next order. I elected to buy the more expensive nail polish since I’ve had more success on it staying on while working. Even though it’s off another Sally Hansen item it will work out for me since I noticed some novelty items that I can get close to free and which my daughter would enjoy (pen detailer, etc.). Thanks for the headsup on this.

—-I didn’t try the wipes/paper towel scenario but I did try the paper towel and tp:
Paper towel is 2/$4 – not $1.89 and the TP was .89 = $3.13 after tax. Rec’d my $2 cat, rolled it into this transaction another 5 times and paid $1.13 each time.
How is this a money maker again? Where is the extra $1.00 coming from, I am trying to figure this one out? It looks like the wipes deal triggers a $2.00 cat, or is it a $3 cat – it looks like your scenarios only have 2 items which would trigger a $2.00 cat. So I am curious where this extra $1.00 cat is coming from and making this a MM.
THanks, love your site!

I also looked at doing the Colgate deal, using the same $1.00 coupon from the inserts and the coupons specifically state – colgate advanced or something to that affect. The ones ON SALE do NOT match any of the toothpaste mentioned on the coupons and the coupon states – those specific items only. So isn’t this coupon fraud since the ones on sale don’t match, even if the coupon scans and works?
Just curious, I am a stickler about these things and don’t want to do anything wrong. I am not complaining, I am merely stating a fact based on the wording of the coupon and the colgate items on sale at Jewel since they do NOT match.
Just curious!
Thanks!

I just did two transactions back to back with the Ritz crackers, both with coupons. The first deal went through fine, and the second one did not take off the instant savings (same type of crackers too). The very polite wonderful head lady came over and asked me if I had a second Jewel card. She said they are fixing the instant savings so that we can’t do multiple transactions. She used her card and gave me the savings, which was very nice.
Truth?

I rolled this several times. You can use the $5 Q with 2 of the $1 Q from 8/23 (I think) giving overage with the cheapest polish (hard as nails is $1.37). I bought lots of Scotts tp for free and still had overage for some fun clearance items for the kids. I used the last $5 Q for one polish and had almost $4 overage for Cetaphil (also on sale and I was emailed a Q). I figure I can use all the nail polish as potty training incentive and birthday favors for the older cousins.

Hi! I guess I’m just a little tired and maybe thats why I’m confused. I plan on doing the Ritz deal tomorrow so i buy 4 boxes of ritz, use 1 coupon of the 75 cents off 2 boxes and i also use 1 coupon of the buy 1 box of ritz get the crackerfuls for free. But I keep reading your deal above and I guess I’m 1 coupon short and 1 box short. Can you please re explain this to me? I’m sorry!!! And thank you in advance!

If you have 3 of the $2 off Wheat Thins WYB any Crystal Light tearpad Q, and one Wheat Thins $1 IP, pick up the single serving Crystal Light–you’ll pay just .75 plus tax for 4 boxes of crackers & 3 Crystal Lights singles (.25 each at my Jewel–your store may vary))–or if you have 4 of the tearpad Qs, get 4 boxes & 4 single serve CL for free :)

match the ones on sale for $6.99. The Q is for Freshmatic Ultra i-Motion Starter kit which was $9.99 at the CL Wags but the smaller one was $6.99 but I think there is a $4 Q for that?
Could it be they will take the Q mentioned above anyway?
yamiagemini says
What stores and what variety has anyone seen of Colgate that match the $1.00 off Q mentioned…
The 1 off Q in the 09-13 SS insert is for the Total line. ( Colgate Total Enamel Strength , Cogate Total Advanced Whiteining, Colgate Total Advanced Clean or Colgate Total Advanced Fresh Toothpaste)
The ad says Colagate toothpaste and the 3 stores that I have been to only have 3 varietes on the $1.00 sale and those are… Colgate Cavity Protection, Colgate Sparkling White Mint Zing, and the Colgate Baking Soda and Peroxide Whitening Oxygen bubbles

Is there a limit to the number of times you can do one deal? Are Jewel or Catalina Marketing tracking this on our preferred cards? I purchased two sets of Goldfish and two sets of soup in four different transactions at the Jewel in DP last week. Then on Friday I repeated the goldfish at a Jewel in MP and repeated the soup at the Jewel in DP. Yesterday I went back to the Jewel in DP for the Eggos, and purchased 8 goldfish but the catalina didn’t print. This Jewel is usually very good about issuing a catalina that doesn’t print, but this time the customer service clerk insisted that I didn’t meet the minimum $15 because I only purchased 8 bags of goldfish. I politely said “this isn’t how the deal works because I just received a catalina for the same purchase in MP” but took my receipt, left, and emailed Jewel when I got home. I’m just wondering if this was a fluke of a mistake or if I did the deal too many times. I believe the catalina machine was working because I did receive a coupon for $10 off a purchase at a clothing store!

Nature Valley Nut Clusters: $1 off 1 – 8/9 GM, 8/23 SS, 9/13 GM, $1 off 1, $1 off 1
(Even MORE expired coupons are out for many of these – use http://www.hotcouponworld.com‘s expired coupon database to find locations!)
*** The scenario above mentions both a coupon and an e-coupon but states to add the deals from shortcuts and cellfire. So, the question is…. are one of the deals from cellfire or shortcuts the “coupon” and one the “ecoupon”? Or do I actually need to dig out coupons.
GMoney says
I bought 4 NV Nut Clusters = $10 – $4 (buying 4) and $4(4x$1mfg q)) and loaded 1 cellfire and 1 shortcuts = $0 + .10c tax + a catalina for a free Capri Sun…….very nice

Did anyone have success with the instant savings at Jewel on Eggo waffles? I tried the Jewel in Crystal Lake and had NO success. I even made sure I purchased only what was listed as participating.
