8/20 RP has a coupon for $2 off 2 Kellogg’s cereals, 9/13 RP has $1 off 2 Pop-Tarts, and Redplum has a $1.50 off 2 Frosted Mini-Wheats. Coupons.com has $1 off Special K crackers AND $1 off Cinnabon bars.
If you have enough of these coupons, you could really bring the prices of these items into the cheap… with the $2 coupon, cereal works out to .50 a box, Pop-Tarts $1 (for the BIG box!), and with the $1.50 coupon, Mini-Wheats .75 a box. The Special K crackers and Cinnabon bars would also be .50 a box! Remember, you must buy a total of TEN boxes to receive the $1 off each box.
Still at Jewel, here’s a great deal on pizzas! Jack’s frozen pizzas are $1.99. When you buy 4 pizzas, a Catalina for $1.50 off your next order will print. Use coupons to bring the price down even more!
With the .40 Jack’s coupon from 8/23 SS, buying 4 will cost you a total of $6.06 ($7.96 minus $1.50 Cat, minus .40 coupon) — that’s just $1.52 a pizza! If you get multiple inserts, with four .40 coupons, you’ll pay $4.86, or $1.22 each!
The Wacky Mac pasta sale continues this week. It’s $1 a bag, and if you didn’t use your .75 coupons from 5/10 SS before, you can use them again here to get this pasta for just .25 a bag! And/or, print two more .25 coupons for more cheap pasta…
Heading to Dominick’s, the big, crazy deal this week is on KLEENEX! (And what a fantastic item to stockpile… it doesn’t expire, ever, so you can really stock up!)
Here’s the deal. Buy 3 boxes of 110-ct Kleenex (.99 each.) Use any coupons you have for the Kleenex (8/2 SS has one, and there are MANY expireds as well, which I’ll list below) – pay $2.47 and get a $3 Catalina back! That’s right… this is a MONEYMAKER which will net you free Kleenex with a little overage!
Remember, you won’t be able to roll your Catalinas unless you add more items in ($3 Catalina won’t work on $2.47 total) so add some other items in if you’d like. I like to use produce (bananas, bags of grapes, etc) — great way to bring the price of these down too!
More expired .50 off 3 Kleenex coupons:
7/12 SS
4/5 SS
2/9 SS
1/4 SS
12/7/08 SS
11/2/08 SS
10/5/08 SS
8/3/08 SS
(Dominick’s accepts expired manufacturer coupons up to 1 year.) Have fun taking Kleenex out of your budget for… a very long time!
Lastly for Doms… if you have the 2009 Entertainment Book, remember that there’s a $5 off $50 coupon in there too that you can work into one of your Dominick’s trips before the book expires at the end of this year. If you use this, always give the cashier that coupon FIRST, before the rest of your coupons, as your total will probably (hopefully!) dip under $50 after the rest of your coupons. And, if you’re interested in the 2010 Entertainment Book, it’s got FOUR $5-off-$50 coupons for Dominick’s in it, valid this fall and throughout the next year. Nice!
At Meijer, Ideal no-calorie sweetener is FREE with a coupon! Grab the 9/13 RP insert and clip your Ideal coupon!
Still at Meijer, many locations have Fast Shake pancake mix (the kind you put water in the container and shake) on clearance. They’re marked down to .52 each — and with a
Note that Meijers in other states are on different schedules. The Illinois Meijers are about a week behind on the sales vs. Indiana/Michigan. If you’re in Illinois, these Meijer deals run through Wednesday. If you’re reading from another state, they ENDED Saturday at your store… Confusing? Yes. This is why I don’t blog too many Meijer deals…
Over at Target, you could potentially take home some CHEAP mascara! Rimmel “Extra Super Lash” is marked down to $2.29 at many Target locations. Pair this with the $2 coupons from 8/23 RP or September All You and take it home for just .29 — this variety is the only kind I’m aware of being marked down, so check with the price scanner to make sure you’ve got the right one.
Still at Target, if you recently received a $1.50 coupon for Tide Stain Release stain lifter (these were distributed via direct mail, as well as in numerous magazines, like Parents, Good Housekeeping, and Oprah) this would be a great time to use it. Tide Stain Release is $3.74 at Target. The 8/23 RP also has a $1.50 Target store coupon you can stack with this. With $3 in coupon value, your Tide Stain Release is a super-cheap .74!
Note that Tide Stain Release comes in 3 varieties – powder, “packs” (which look oddly like Cascade or Electrasol dishwasher detergent packs!) and a liquid form. The liquid can be found by the Spray N’ Wash.
If you didn’t get the $1.50 coupon, the 8/30 PG also has a .75 coupon — you can still stack this with the $1.50 Target coupon, but you’ll pay $1.49 … your call. Sometimes we see Spray N’ Wash, Shout, etc cheaper than this — but it’s been awhile. If you need a laundry pretreater, that’s still not too bad a price.
Wrapping things up at Kmart, their Super Doubles coupon promotion is BACK! Kmart will double coupons up to $2 in value!
The rules this time around… limit 10 coupons per day per person (some stores do not enforce) – limit 4 like coupons per transaction, and you must reach a $25 purchase, pre-coupon. Remember, no coupon overage is given – you’re doubling TO the price of the item, not over.
And in a crazy twist, the ad specifically states only coupons from the P&G insert are to be doubled this time around (ad is in this past Sunday’s RedPlum.) While I’m hearing many stores are not enforcing this, some are — so I’m not posting matchups this week for this round of doubles. If you’ve done these before, perhaps you can check and see how your local store is handling things before you head over.
For my Rockford-area readers, Hilander still has that great Dial hand soap pump sale going. They are still $1 each, and with the .35 coupon from 8/16 SS doubled to .70, these are just .30 each…
Have you seen the electronic coupons for Hilander/Kroger stores? SoftCoin recently added support for Kroger stores (including Hilander) for their new electronic coupons for Unilever products! Click here to check them out… they load to your card the same way that Cellfire/PGE/ShortCuts do, meaning we now have FOUR sets of electronics we can stack with at Kroger stores. WOW!

As always, these deals are guidelines for shopping. I can make no guarantee that these items will be on sale, in stock, or available at your area store. I can also not guarantee your Catalinas will print, your cashier will smile at you while you check out, or that your shopping cart won’t have a broken wheel. But I CAN teach you how to save money :)
* (All You magazine is not a requirement for using the site, but if you like coupons, you will probably really enjoy it. It’s a cheap ($2.49 an issue) magazine that is absolutely filled with coupons each month — typically 20-30 of them. Many websites are now tracking the All You coupons and matching them to deals, just as they do with the newspaper coupon inserts. You can subscribe to All You online and save about $10/year off the cover price. And depending on the values, if you use 2 or 3 coupons alone from each issue, you’ve recouped the cost of the magazine, and you’re on your way to even bigger savings.)

LOL! What about price scanners? At my store one is missing from where it used to be posted. How can I check my prices – as you suggest – without the scanner? Where did it go? Are they bringing it back? When?
Thanks for the chuckle! Hopefully everyone will read this and not just skim the deals ;)

Will the deal work if I purchase more than 3 boxes in one transaction? Say 6 boxes and receive two cats or do I have to purchase .

Tried the Kleenex deal at Dominicks. Bought 3 – 110 ct boxes for $.99 but no $3 CAT printed. Looks like it’s not working at every Dominicks. Bummer!

There is a Q online for $1 and they are on sale at Jewel for $1.79 for a 4 pack. .79 isn’t free, but still a great price for a healthy treat. I believe sale ends Wed. 09/30/2009.

How long is this particular Catalina deal going on for? I have stopped at two Dominick’s stores tonight and the shelves are bare.
jcgeorge says
Bought 4 of the pizzas – 2 pep and 2 pep/sausage. Got the sale price, but no cat printed.
I didn’t say anything – the clerk was super friendly and I wasn’t going to argue over $1.50.
I figure the cat didn’t print b/c I didn’t buy 4 exact same items – ??
Anyway, it was still a great deal with the $.40/1 Q – pizzas for $1.59! The way my DS eats, they might just last till the weekend!
As usual, YMMV.

8/30 SS – FREE roll of Marcal toilet paper, paper towels, or facial tissue (exp. 10/15/09) – where is this stuff sold?

Can we use Register Rewards from Walgreens at Jewel? I thought I saw somewhere that Jewel will take them but can’t find it yet. I have $14 in RR that would be awesome to use at Jewel. If someone could let me know that would be great. Thanks!

Went to two different Jewels tonight armed with all available coupons. Unfortunately, most of the items on the list were not included in the deal. They were marked down to the $1.50 price, but did not have the special tag indicating that they were the “selected varieties” of Kellogg’s products. The store manager told me that they had to have the special tag to be included in the instant rebate. Oddly, the items that were included varied from each store, and were mostly cereals and Pop Tarts, but didn’t include most of the cracker items. Does each Jewel determine which items they want to include in promotions like these? I ended up leaving without anything since I wanted to use up a bunch of coupons and get a better deal.

I did 6 transactions on the Kleenex on Wed. and didn’t have any problem. My Sister-in-law went right before me and did it 4 times.
