Last week, I posted news that had been circulating around the grocery blogs — Safeway stores, which dropped support for Cellfire electronic coupons last month, were also dropping support for ShortCuts and PGEsaver ecoupons as well. As many of us were still able to load ecoupons to their cards from the latter two sites, but word around the blogosphere was that the ecoupons were being dropped at any store offering the new Just For U ecoupons, I wanted to get something official to post for everyone. Here’s the response I received from Dominick’s:
For Dominicks, you can no longer load offers from Cellfire. Any offers previously loaded and still valid should be processed correctly at the register.
For AOL Shortcuts – you can still load offers to card but this will be changing at the end of November – at that point you will no longer be available to load offers from Shortcuts to a Fresh Values card. Again, any previously loaded offers that are still valid should be honored at checkout.
For P&G eSaver you can still load and redeem offers from their site.
It’s important to note that the offers in the J4U Coupon Center that are exactly the same as those in Shortcuts, eSaver or Cellfire will be loaded only ONCE to the household. Although each separate system may enable you to load via the user interface, our backstage systems will not allow stacking of the same offer on a single household (not just card).
The above is also true for the Safeway banner divisions but not true for any banner that doesn’t currently have J4U on the website (i.e. Randalls, Vons, etc.)
So there you go — officially, at Dominick’s and Safeway, Cellfire is done, ShortCuts will be done at the end of November, and PGEsaver is still valid at all stores, though if the same P&G ecoupon offers are loaded into Just For U, you will not receive a second instance of them if you also load them at PGEsaver.com.

Just was going to print my cellfire coupons I had previously loaded as a last hurrah to using at Doms – all my coupons have been cleared and it says I have none loaded when I had loaded them all last time….mmmmm game over I guess.

Just a few days ago I called PG, because last month I had a problem with $3 Charmin q not coming off. They told me they’ll give me $3 credit on my Dom card for my next purchase. Since nothing was coming off, I called and said : What happened? It didn’t come off and now I hear you don’t work with Dom anymore. He said : It’s true, we don’ work with Dom since last few weeks. It’s finished. And my $3 credit was on purchase of a PG product, not any purchase. I said that’s not what they said plus I already bought my PG product. He said sorry, nothing he can do, that was in Oct and now in Nov their computers reset and that’s it. So no my $3 and no more PG coupons.

Are the e-coupons on coupons.com still OK to load? I haven’t done this before, but just started trying to use grocery IQ and wondered if the coupons.com coupons will work at Dominicks?
