‘Extreme’ couponer accused of stealing $3K in newspapers
A 58-year-old woman is accused of stealing bundles of newspapers from a local deliveryman, police said.
According to authorities, Linda Altman would wait for a Post-Gazette delivery truck to unload bundles of newspapers into a storage shed in Westmoreland County. As soon as the delivery truck would depart, police said, she would load the newspapers into her SUV.
She just said she was after the coupons,” Fontaine said.
Altman told police she started to take the newspapers after a relative told her about the drop-off location.
I would venture to guess that if she just bought more extra papers on the newsstand, it would not have cost nearly as much as getting out of this is going to cost her.

and they left the storage locker unlocked the whole time? Instead of just putting on a lock they had to stake the locker out this far into it? She’s guilty but the people in charge of the papers seem to have skipped some basics.
