It’s that time again… the days following a cookie-holiday are the best times to buy holiday cookies! And with Easter over, why not get your cookie coupons ready for clearance cookie-dough hunting? I’ve gotten into the habit of carrying any cookie dough coupons around once a holiday ends, just in case I spot bargain cookies at the store.
My Jewel in Huntley had the Pillsbury Easter cookie dough marked down to .50 per box late last night. SavingStar has an ecoupon for $1 off 2 Pillsbury cookie dough that made 2 boxes FREE! With the .75-off-2 Pillsbury cookie dough coupon in the 4/1 SS, I picked up a few more cookies for .25 for two boxes, or about .13 each. (There are more .75-off-2 coupons at Coupons.com, SmartSource and Coupon Network.)
My store was sold out of the Nestle Easter cookie dough, but the 3/25 SS has a $1 coupon for it that may also score you some free or cheap if you find these marked down. Happy clearance cookie hunting!

Was at Lisle Jewel last night and they had the Pilsbury holiday cookie dough marked down to 99 cents a box. This included the Disney (Minnie Mouse) ones. I tried to use the $1.10 Disney printables from a few weeks ago but since it was over the price of the item they didn’t take it. Luckily, I had some $1.00 off 2 and 75 cents off 2 coupons with me and used those.
Later, I ended up at the Woodridge Jewel and noticed they had the Pilsbury Easter cookies on clearance for $1.50, so I was able to use my $1.10 off coupons there and paid 40 cents for each box.
Both stores had quite a few left, and the cashier at Lisle said they must have just marked them down because she had started seeing more people coming through check-out with them that evening.
Hope this helps!

The stores in my area never discount their holiday cookies to 50 cents! Dominick’s in Frankfort had a few Nestle chocolate chip Easter cookies @ $2/each. I bought 2 and used 2/$1 Qs for a total of 2/$2. The Orland Park (Wolf Rd.) Jewel had a fairly large supply of Pillsbury Easter cookes @ $1/each. I bought 4 and used two 75 cents/2 Qs for a total of 4/$2.50. Total spent = $4.50 for 12 dozen cookies. It might not be equal to the prices in Jill’s area, but you can’t make 12 dozen cookies from scratch for $4.50, so I still feel that I got a great deal! Thanks so much for this tip, Jill!
