Are you not writing Jewel’s weekly deals? I just wanted to comment on the 1 day fish sale. I tried the Pacific Rockfish today, wasn’t especially impressed. I asked the fish monger (using that term lightly) what it compares to since I’d never heard of a rockfish. He told me perch and then was quickly corrected by a woman who said it is snapper. I baked up a couple fillets today for lunch and I must have baked it too long. It was super dry and VERY mild tasting. I won’t buy it again, since for that same price they have salmon and cod and tilapia today! I bought a package of each of those because we actually eat them all the time! (I also know how to prepare those!)

Sorry you had issues with the rockfish. :( I bought it and we just made it last night — ours was excellent. I too asked at the fish counter & they said mine was red snapper. I breaded it with egg and parmesan cheese, with a little Old Bay mixed in.
