I went in today for a quart to do some touch ups in my kitchen! I purchased an inexpensive paintbrush and some mints, too. $3.00 for a home improvement project AND fresh breath! Woohoo! I was disappointed, however with the customer behind me who bragged to the Ace employees and customers about all the free paint she’s collected today from several different locations and how this was her third free quart just from this location! The paint counter girls were well aware of this customer’s scheme, but went along with it with annoyed looks on their faces. I thought about pointing out the “Limit one per household.” bold print at the bottom, but she was obviously a minor or at least under 20 and I decided it wasn’t my place to parent someone else’s child.

I went in and got my free paint. Later that day I talked to my mom and she told me that last time they had this promotion that there was a lady in line ahead of her that had 7 quarts of paint getting tinted the same color and 7 coupons! My mom said to the guy mixing the paint. “I thought that you can only get one free can?” Then the employee told her that they can not stop people from abusing the offer, and that if someone feels ok with breaking the rules that that is on them and he can not stoop them. I thought that this was crazy. I don’t know if it was just that store, but the coupon clearly states “one per household” I can understand if someone comes in with another family member or friend and gets a different color, buy one person getiing seven cans all the same color! If people keep doing this they are going to stop offering this deal.
