The Huntley Jewel-Osco location has four large wire bins filled with single-load Tide Pods and liquid Tide with Febreze. They’re FREE. All of the Tides are marked “Free Sample: Not For Sale.”
You would not believe how many shoppers I saw walk right past these and not take any. The bins are set up right in front of the checkout lanes..! They’re impossible to miss.
I guess not everyone wants a deal, but we do. I love having these for when we travel too.
Special thanks to my sons, who tagged along on my shopping trip and excitedly spotted this deal before I did!

Have you tried the Tide with Febreeze? I absolutely love it! Clothes smell so good for quite awhile after washed. Great for sheets and blankets!

Each cashier at he Libertyville Jewel had them and were handing one to each customer as they checked out. This is probably the more fair way to do this, but I like the bin idea better myself!

Hi- I was shopping at the Chicago Avenue Jewel in Evanston tonight, and a woman came up to me with a tray loaded with detergent, and asked me if I wanted any. In the back of the store there was a gentleman who had set up a table with free samples, and he also offered me a sample. I noticed that all the samples are for he washers. Can they be used in a regular washer? I asked the gentleman and he said yes, but I want to make sure.
While I was in the store, I ran into a friend of mine, and while I was talking to her, her boyfriend showed up. I told my friend about the free tide which she was not aware of, and she mentioned it to her boyfriend, but he said that he did not need any more tide, and so he would not take it. He lives in Winnetka, and I believe he mostly shops at Grand Foods there, which is way more expensive than Jewel, and probably can’t be bothered with using coupons.
