Part of “blogger life” is receiving great samples of products from a variety of companies and brands. I’m a huge skincare junkie, as you may already know..! And, as much as I love trying new products, I’ve also learned over the years that some products just don’t work for me — no matter how much I might like them to. Retinols? Great for renewing skin… unless you spend a lot of time in the sun (which I do.) Lip products with sunscreen in them don’t agree with me either, but I know a lot of people swear by them.

So, when I get new products to try and sample, I scour the ingredients lists like the fiendish ingredients nerd I am… and if there are products that I think won’t agree with my skin, I stash them in a box on my office shelf. And then..?

  24. And didn’t need all of this stuff to prevent my face from looking like a paper mâché mask. Now I am of a certain mature age where, in addition to needing a stockpile of reading glasses in every room of my house which might require sight, I also require an arsenal of lotions and potions to stave off the creeping crevasses which have been appearing on my feminine visage. I’m not proud when trolling for coupons and freebies, just greatful for any of them, as I am sure, if totaled, the yearly cost of my products will bring on a heart condition, then I’ll have to start stock piling a host of new products
