If you need laundry detergent, this is a pretty good week to head over to CVS/pharmacy and stock up. There are multiple deals running right now on detergent:
All 30-50oz. liquid laundry detergent or Mighty Pacs 18-22ct. are on sale for $2.99. The 1/5 RM1 has a $1 coupon for the liquid and a $2 coupon for the Pacs, making these a cool $1.99 and .99, respectively.
Tide Simply 31-34oz. liquid or 13ct. Pods are $2.94. Use the $1 CVS app ecoupon or this $1 printable and pay $1.94.
These are already good deals, but what motivated me to head to the store today to put it all together was an ecoupon from the CVS app for $3 off a $12 laundry detergent purchase! I also received a mailer from CVS with $3 ExtraBucks off anything in the store, so I thought that combining all of these had a lot of potential for a detergent stock-up today.
Unfortunately, my store was completely sold out of the All Mighty Pacs — not surprising, since they are the best deal this week. (I got a raincheck before leaving the store.) I had two $1 All coupons for the liquid though, so I grabbed two bottles. I also grabbed two bottles of Tide Simply, which put me at $11.86 – so close to $12.00, but not quite close enough.
I weighed simply adding another (non-coupon) bottle of All or Tide Simply to my cart to get me over $12. Looking through the other coupons in the CVS mailer I received, I spotted a $1 coupon for CVS’ house brand Total Home laundry detergent. The 24-packs of these were $3.99 this week. With coupon, they went down to $2.99.
I only buy the packs when the total laundry loads are greater than what’s in the bottle for the same price, and both the All and the Tide are 20-load bottles. So, post-coupon, I paid the same $2.99 I would have paid for another bottle, but I gained a few more loads.
Now my deal looked like this:
All: $2.99
All: $2.99
Tide Simply: $2.94
Tide Simply: $2.94
Total Home packs: $3.99
Subtotal: $15.85
After $1 coupons off each laundry item, I was now down to $10.85.
The $3-off-$12 laundry ecoupon took another $3 off, dropping this to $7.85.
Next, I gave the cashier my $3 ExtraBucks coupon from the mailer, which dropped the bill to $4.85!
I like looking at the CVS app, because they often have free bonuses in there, and today I had an ecoupon for a FREE 30ct. bag of CVS Health cough drops. Of course I grabbed those too, and with tax, I was out the door for $5.56!
Don’t forget, if the Mighty Pacs had been in stock, this would have been $3.56 bill! Still a fantastic deal all around though. This worked out to just .97 per laundry detergent.
