Groupon deal: $39 for $100 toward Virgin America roundtrip airfare – Chicago to Los Angeles or San Francisco

This is an interesting Groupon! While supplies last through February 6th, Groupon is offering a $100 flight voucher on Virgin America for $39! This one caught my eye, because I flew on Virgin America for the first time in November after a friend suggested it, saying “It’s inexpensive, and you’ll love it.” Well, it was inexpensive (under $200 round trip between Los Angeles and Chicago) and I DID love it. I was actually quite blown away by the incredible perks and amenities onboard. Seatback TVs for everyone (with your own remote control!) built-in video games, satellite TV, onscreen seat-to-seat chatting, in-flight WiFi, and a food and drinks touchscreen menu to place orders from.

I also loved that every seat had an electrical outlet for you to plug in a laptop or other device. And, the planes have black leather seats with cool pink-and-purple neon mood lighting too. (It sure beats “business” blue and grey…) Best part? The flights are usually a lot cheaper between here and the West coast than all other airlines from O’Hare. I just checked some random dates that fall into this Groupon offer, and VirginAmerica.com is showing $89-$109 fares each way from Chicago to LAX.

 
Trust me… all of this has completely spoiled me for other airlines. It actually irked me a bit that “regular” flights to Los Angeles on the other major carriers are usually double the price with half the amenities. I don’t terribly enjoy flying, but I LOVED my trip on Virgin. It made me forget I was on a plane! I could sincerely continue to gush on and on about how much I like them and will continue to fly Virgin, but I think you get the idea.

But back to today’s Groupon deal… this $39 Groupon is good for $100 toward a round-trip ticket from O’Hare Airport (ORD) to either Los Angeles (LAX) or San Francisco (SFO.) It also includes a voucher for free in-flight GoGo WiFi for one leg of your trip.
