Gymboree punctuation police

During a recent Gymboree pajama sale, I bought these cute applique camping-themed pajamas for my youngest son. When they arrived, I noticed something that I hadn’t seen clearly in the online preview:

“Whats Canoe With You?” Whats the matter with this?

My son has worn them for a month or so now, and as cute as they are… this pajama top was driving me crazy!
I had my sewing stuff out for another project, so I took five minutes to fix this…
Much better. (And yes, I realize the absurdity of correcting the punctuation on a shirt that’s already substituting the word “canoe” for “new.” As Gary Gnu used to say, “No Gnus is Good Gnus”…)

  1. That would drive me insane. I am a self confessed punctuation critic, too. Incorrect use of there, they’re and their is my personal pet peeve.

  2. Oh, Jill, you made my day. As a retired English teacher, I still cringe when I see products and advertisements with grammar or punctuation errors. What a clever solution. Now your son can rest in peace. Thats (I mean–that’s) one smart boy! Lol

  3. That is too funny that you fixed it, but it would drive me nuts too! By the way, did you notice that Little Caesar’s now has bacon wrapped around the crust pizza now???
