After spending the day in Rockford doing fun-Spring-Break activities with my children, we had to hit Hilander on the way home for a little triple-coupon action. Through tomorrow, Hilander, Schnucks and Logli stores in the Rockford area are tripling all coupons up to .55 in value! A .55 coupon triples to $1.65, a .50 coupon triples to $1.50, and so on.
I had clipped a variety of coupons for things in the ad, and things that I thought might be cheap. You are limited to 20 triples per transaction per day, and three like coupons per transaction. Here’s what I bought:
3 Diet Pepsi 2-liters: $1.50
– 3 .55 coupons tripled = FREE!
3 Starkist Select tuna: $1.43 each (clearance)
– 3 .50 coupons tripled = FREE!
2 Mentos Gum: One was $1.69 and one was $1.79 (not sure why the different flavors had different prices!)
– 2 .55 coupons tripled = .04 and .14
3 Friskies Cat Treats: $1.59
– 3 .50 coupons tripled = .09 each
3 Duncan Hines Cake Mixes: $1.25 each
– 3 .35 coupons tripled = .20 each
3 Coffee-Mate Natural Bliss Creamers: $2.18 each
– 3 .55 coupons tripled = .53 each
And lastly… I was hoping to buy Keebler Fudge Stripes with my final triple coupons, but they were sold out..! So I substituted the Maruchan Yakisoba noodles. (Hey… they were free!)
3 Maruchan Yakisoba Noodles: $1 each
– 3 .50 coupons tripled = FREE
With tax… $2.95! What a fun little trip!

So did any of your coupons say that they could not double?

Things got a little nasty here. My daughter made a quick run tonite. Found some Stove Top hidden behind store brand. She took 3 and pulled the rest to the front for others to find. Two women started pushing each other to get to them first. Come on, you are humans right? Do good manners go away for $1.00?

I live in Belvidere so not far from Logli/Hilander and I love that they triple coupons every so often. I was able to get $36.50 worth of groceries for $11.25. I was so happy. Everyone was very nice that worked there. The only coupon that they had to manualy enter was the .55/2 egg coupon.
