… and you wished you’d gotten some super toy bargains, get yourself to Target as soon as possible. Target stores dropped most of their toy items brought in for Christmas to 75% this afternoon and evening. This is the final percentage drop for toys, and here are some of the things you might find:
Star Wars Mr. Potato Head Artoo-Potatoo
Originally $10.49 – now $2.62
Snap-in-Place Scrabble crossword game
Originally $16.99 – now $4.24
Disney Cars V-Tech Lightning McQueen Learning “Laptop”
(plays educational games)
Originally $29.99 – now $7.48
Fisher-Price Little People Surprise Sounds Fun Park
(an large, electronic carnival play set for Little People)
Originally $29.99 – now $7.48
Fisher-Price Smart Cycle (connects to the TV – kids pedal and “ride” through educational games – super cool!) Originally $99.99 – now $24.99
There are MANY other things – infant, boy, girl – all of it. I can’t begin to tell you how many great things I saw… but since I already did almost all my shopping at Meijer last week, I just picked up a couple more things.
But I would get there as soon as possible tomorrow or Saturday for the best selection… as I was shopping, I saw another woman with THREE shopping carts piled up as high as you can imagine, entirely filled with toys. She had two other Target employees help her push them to the front of the store! :)
So, happy toy shopping! Again, this time in January is the cheapest time to buy toys over the entire next year. All those must-have toys that were hot this holiday season are really at their must-have prices… NOW. :)

Can you believe the Bolingbrook Meijer still has their toys at 50% off? I was there yesterday and they STILL haven’t dropped. That sno-cone maker is still 7.50. Darn it!

I went to Target this a.m. for milk and ended up getting yet more toys at a price too good to be true. I got lucky and found a Target that had some (not all) toys at 75% a few weeks ago and cleaned up then (other nearby stores still had the same items for more – even FULL price.)
Today I stumbled across some new markdowns, including a Step 2 kitchen for $24.98!! It wasn’t exactly the perfect weather to be moving bags and seats around to figure out how to fit this ginormous thing into my vechicle, but for that price (down from $100), I managed!
The only downside was that this ate into the time I allotted to go to Old Navy and I never made it there as a result. Maybe when I’m finished typing…(Jill, your deals are too hard to resist!)

I was at Algonquin Target today and there was very little for 75% off. I really wanted to get one of the smart cycles, but they were all still priced $50. Where did you find it for $25? Thanks!
