Clearance clothes shopping: Kmart

Have you been out clearance clothes shopping — one of my favorite things to do in January? Whenever I’m out and about, I like to stop and see if I can find any clothing deals for the kids. (And sometimes, I find things for myself too..!)

I had an appointment in Crystal Lake today, so I stopped into the Kmart on Route 14 on the way home. Their children’s departments have quite a few 40% off and 60% off clearance racks, and there are some good deals, especially for young children.

I picked up these three outfits for my niece (she may be a toddler, but she already has her own personal shopper – Aunt Jill.) Two outfits were $5.99 and one was $4.99. Both are two-piece sets with long-sleeve tops and jeans, and a short-sleeve blouse with leggings. Cute!

Over in the boys’ department, there was a big rack of t-shirts marked $1.99 and up.

 

As my boys already think they have superpowers, I figured they might as well proclaim their abilities to the world. Together. At the same time. These T-shirts were marked $1.99, but they rang up at $1.19 each! That’s a deal.

Other things I saw: Boys’ and girls’ (not toddler) Joe Boxer pajama sets were half off – most priced at $9.99 after the deal. There were a bunch of shoes on clearance at the Crystal Lake store too. I did not see many clearance clothing finds for adults though.

  2. I also love shopping the clearance sales this time of the year. I found in Sears in womens a $20 Elmo Vintage PJ top for $5.99. I had “5,000 surprise points” on my rewards card. I ended up only paying .92 for the shirt! Saving it for a birthday gift for my daughter – she will love it. Today I have $7 in surprise points! So if anyone has a rewards Sears card, check your email, to see if you have surprise points.

  3. I went into Kohls last night to pick up one thing and decided to look at the clearance. They had girls summer dresses marked down to $4.80, regular price was $44. They also had some summer shirts maked down to $1.80. If you have the geocoupon app, there is a 20% off coupon on there.
