$1.97-$2.97 clearance going on in-store at JC Penney

I stopped into the Algonquin JC Penney today to pick up a web order (hello, 100% cotton sweatshirts!) and decided to cruise the clearance racks after striking up a conversation with another woman in line. She had an armful of $2.97 summer shirts and blouses for herself that she was absolutely delighted with! So, I took a quick look around. My store had quite a few $2.97 racks in nearly every department.

I found a clearance rack in the boys’ department and picked up a few items in the $1.97-$2.97 range:

  • Avenger t-shirt: $1.97
  • Boys’ Arizona snap-up shirt: $1.97
  • Boys’ Arizona polo: $2.97
  • Boys’ Arizona striped cotton shorts: $2.97 (these will magically become cotton swim trunks when I add a mesh lining to them…)
  • Boys’ Arizona cargo shorts: $2.67

Then, I picked up a few things for my beautiful nieces:

  • Arizona toddler girls’ blouse: $1.97
  • Carter’s toddler blue jeans: $1.97
  • Pinky blue print toddler dress: $1.97
  • Okie Dokie toddler denim dress: $1.97

Not bad for $20.43! With tax, I paid $22.01. That was a fun little shopping trip!

  1. Through today, if you say ‘Boo’ at the register you get an additional 20% off apparel, shoes, accessories, including clearance. That offer was valid 10/15-10/17 per an email I received from them. It’s 10% off furniture, mattreses, etc.

  2. Since we’re talking JCP & they just announced they would be opening at 8pm on Thanksgiving to start the holiday season…anyone’s thoughts?

  3. I got a text coupon from JCP for 20% off an entire purchase through 10/22. I will be near another JCP over the weekend, so I may see if I can find some more deals (& perhaps redeem myself for not using the “BOO!” Coupon – hee.)
