Here are some of the things I picked up:
– Racconto whole grain pasta – .42 per box
– One-pound bags of Dubble Bubble bubble gum (for my Dad, who loves his Dubble Bubble) – .25 each!
– 12oz. Kix cereal – .86. I used the .75 ecoupon on JewelOsco.com and paid .11!
– Progresso Recipe Secrets – .55 each! I will go back with my .50 coupons from the 1/27 SS and net these for a cool .05 each.
– Kraft Jet-Puffed marshmallows – .37 per bag
– 12-count Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts – .79 each
– 20-ounce cans of Jewel pineapple – .34 each
– 2.6oz. Suave deodorant – .57 each. I will go back with my .75 coupons from the 1/27 RP1 to make these FREE.
– 36ct. Equaline tampons – $1.74 and Buy 2 Get 1 Free = $1.16 each
– 22ct. Equaline pantiliners – .24 and Buy 2 Get 1 Free = .16 each
After buying all that, I kept thinking about doing a deal with the 1.6oz. Mio water enhancers, clearance-priced at .99… and here comes the crazy deal!
The 1/27 SS has a $1 coupon, and Coupons.com has a $1-off-2 printable. But I used those last week, so I had no coupons to use with the deal… except a $1.50-off-2 Mio Catalina coupon that printed when I bought Mio last week. The $1.50-off-2 coupon dropped the price of ten to $3.40. I rolled my $3 Mio Catalina from last week and paid .40 (+ .09 tax) and got another $3 Catalina, and another $1.50-off-2 Mio coupon. Mi-o my!
As with clearance anywhere, what you find may vary. If you shop in this area too, Huntley had plenty of bubble gum (probably 30 bags left or more), lots of “girly stuff” and less than ten Mio left (sorry… but that one was too good to pass up!)

I am keeping an eye out but so far the only thing I have found was a jar of Lyndsay green olives clearance price $1.09 and I still had a $1. off IP hanging around :-)

Hi- The pineapple at my Jewel is marked down to $.60 a can, and they still have tons of it. When I was in the Wilmette Jewel again yesterday, I did not see any more clearance that I could use. The frozen organic peas and the sweet potato fries which were both $1 a bag a few days earlier were gone.

I have been to two different Jewels over the past few weeks and never see any good clearance finds like the deals found by others. Where is all the good stuff located in the store? The regular aisle has regularly priced foods ($2.77 for Progresso Recipe Starters) and today I found dill pickle mix and Roach Control in the clearance aisle. Frustrating!!!

I just *cough cough* happened to be going by the Huntley Jewel again today. They have been out of the new Honey Nut Cheerios Crunch since the sale began, and our store thought they would get more in today. (They didn’t, but they showed me an inventory sheet that shows the entire warehouse is out. If you’re chasing these too, get rainchecks, as nobody will have them in before the sale ends tonight.)
So, of course, while I was there, I turned in the coupons from yesterday’s clearance finds and then browsed the racks some more. Here’s what was new today:
Huntley has a lot of the candles left (probably at least 20 as of a half-hour ago) and at least 20 packages of the Duracell AAs too – at least 15 of Duracell AAAs. There are also a lot of freezers left in Huntley if you still want one :)
Also, the Beech-Nut is the first thing I’ve bought that’s part of the “Spend $25, Get $5” Baby Catalina running through 2/23. (Hey, I don’t have babies anymore, guys :) I found it interesting that at checkout, I got a Catalina showing I had spent .72 of $25 with a website and pin to check on my earnings..! Interesting and a nice way to keep track of what you’ve spent toward that Catalina.

There is a Lady Speed Stick moneymaker available at the 75th & Naper store in Naperville. The Fresh Infusions are clearance priced at .79. Buy two get $1.00 OYNO. Use $.50/1 in the 2/3 SS. There were at least three dozen left on the clearance endcap.

Honestly, they have an endcap loaded and marked “clearance” but the majority of the stuff isn’t marked down at all. I take it over to the in store scanner to check the price, just in case they didn’t put the sale price on the shelf tag, and it’s always the same. It’s not marked down at all. I saw last week someone posted about finding clearance canned crab. Well, it was on our clearance shelf, but it was still the regular price.
WHY DO THEY MOVE IT TO THE CLEARANCE SHELVES AND THEN NOT MARK THE ITEMS DOWN AT ALL?
