Note: I refer to coupon inserts found in the Chicago Tribune, as it is the newspaper with the largest quantity of high-value coupons for Chicagoland.

Jewel’s ads state “Prices are good, unless otherwise indicated, at all Jewel-Osco stores.” So as long as your store carries these items, you should be able to get the prices at your local Jewel too.

Watch very closely with two coupons on a Buy One Get One Free. The second coupon will appear to scan fine, but it will show as $0.00 at the register. Be prepared to call on your cashier to manually adjust this for you immediately if they do not intervene.

 If you anticipate any issues with this, I would recommend carrying a copy of Jewel’s coupon policy, which outlines both of these issues clearly.

  2. Hi- Tabatchnick soup is on sale again. Not as cheap as it was last month, but it is on sale for $1.50 for a two serving box. It is normally $2.49 a box. It is on sale through sometime in April. This soup is way better than any of the canned soups out there. It tastes like homemade, and is good for you. I especially love the split pea and chicken noodle and dumpling soups, but they are all good. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any coupons for it. If your Jewel has a frozen kosher section, the soup is going to be located there. In other stores it is going to be located in the frozen natural food section.

    Jewel has King Arthur flour on sale for $3.99 a bag too, for at least a few more weeks. This is the only flour I buy, and this is about as cheap as it gets, unless you were able to get some at Dominick’s going out of business sale. I got a bag of all purpose and a bag of white whole wheat. The white whole wheat flour is a special variety that is a whole grain, but can be used in place of all purpose flour. Not every Jewel store carries the white whole wheat flour. I bought it at the Howard store in Evanston. It has a taste similar to all purpose, but has as much fiber as whole wheat. If you are a bread maker, any of their flour makes fantastic bread, and way better than any of the mainstream brands. Unfortunately there are not any coupons for King Arthur right now either.

    I also saw Mother’s Best raisin bran on clearance for $.85 a box when I was at that Jewel last week, and I picked up three boxes of it. That is something else that I am not sure how many other Jewel stores carry it.

  3. I noticed in the ad that the “Brawny Paper Towels 6 ct. Big or 8 ct. Regular Rolls or Quilted Northern Bath Tissue 12 ct. Double Rolls are $4.99 ea. Must Buy One Brawny And One Quilted Northern.” A week or so ago you put up a link with high value coupons, and one was for $3.50 off when you buy one of each brawny and quilted northern. So $4.99*2 = $9.98-$3.50 = $6.48 for both or $3.24 each!

    Since I didn’t see it mentioned, I thought I would ask.
