Lately, there have been some variances in some stores’ Jewel ads epending on location. I use the Algonquin, Illinois Jewel location’s ad.

Jewel’s ads state “Prices are good, unless otherwise indicated, at all Jewel-Osco stores.” As long as your store carries these items, you should be able to get the prices at your local Jewel too.

Jewel no longer requires Preferred Card, but…

You do not need to use your Preferred Card to receive sale prices anymore. But if you want to use SavingStar ecoupons and Jewel’s own ecoupons, continue to use your card. Don’t discard it if you intend to continue using ecoupons at Jewel! SavingStar has confirmed they will still continue their offers at Jewel. We have also noticed that you get many more Catalina coupons (the per-product kind that are for specific items, like “.75 off Prego pasta sauce”) when you use your Jewel card, as your purchase history is tied to it.

FREE Cookie Credit Card and Fruit Cards for kids at Jewel

Pick up a free “Cookie Credit Card” in the bakery, and your child can get a free cookie with every visit to Jewel. And, pick up a “Healthy Eaters” card at the customer service counter, and your child can get a FREE banana or Red Delicious apple when they shop with you. Through 12/31/14.

Link your Mastercard to Fuel Rewards Network for new Jewel fuel rewards program

Fuel Rewards are back at Jewel-Osco — that is, if you have a MasterCard. Visit the Fuel Rewards Network at www.fuelrewards.com and create a free account. Or, if you already have an account, log in. Link your MasterCard to your FRN account. Then, pay with your MasterCard when you shop at Jewel-Osco, and you’ll earn a .05/gallon reward for every $50 spent in store. Your fuel rewards points are redeemable at Shell gas stations.

A note on overage and B1G1F sales

Jewel’s coupon policy allows shoppers to apply manufacturer coupon overage to other items in the same transaction. It also allows two manufacturer coupons to be used on a Buy One Get One Free sale. There have been register issues with this in the past, but many reports are coming in that the issues have been fixed. (Fantastic!)

Watch very closely with two coupons on a Buy One Get One Free. The second coupon will appear to scan fine, but it will show as $0.00 at the register. Be prepared to call on your cashier to manually adjust this for you immediately if they do not intervene.

If you anticipate any issues with this, I would recommend carrying a copy of Jewel’s coupon policy, which outlines both of these issues clearly.

Hi- I saw this on MUM. Starting tomorrow, Jewel has Stella cheese cups, buy one get one free,and there is a $.75 coupon that you can print that is on Rachel’s site. They also have Stella 8 ounce wedges B1G1F, including Parmesan, Romano, and a few other cheeses, and there is also another $.75 coupon you can print off of Rachel’s site. That means you can get a pound of Parmesan for $4.49, which is a really good deal. This assumes that the cashier will let you use two coupons on a B1G1F deal.
