16oz. Snyder’s of Hanover pretzels are on sale for $2.50. Buy two and use the $1-off-2 from the 5/18 SS to drop these to $2 per bag. They’re also part of a “Spend $20, Get $5” SavingStar ecoupon offer. Want to go pretzel crazy? Buy 8 ($20.) Use four $1-off-2 coupons. Pay $16 and get $5 back. That’s $11 for 8 bags, or about $1.38 each.

9.5-10oz. Jay’s potato chips are on sale for $2. Buy two and use the $1-off-2 from the 5/18 SS and pay $3 for two, or $1.50 each

Gallon jugs of Tradewinds iced tea are on sale for $2 through 5/27. Buy two and use the $1-off-2 from the 5/11 RP to drop these to $1.50 per jug!

Nabisco crackers (ad shows Ritz, Triscuit) and Chips Ahoy cookies are all on sale for $1.99. Buy two and use the .75-off-2 from the 5/18 SS. Pay $3.23 for two, or about $1.62 each.

6-8ct. Kellogg’s Pop-Tarts are on sale for $2. Buy three and use the $1-off-3 from the 4/27 RP and drop these to $1.66 each.

34-36oz. Heinz ketchup is on sale for $2. Use the .25 coupon from the 5/4 RP and pay $1.75.

Banana Boat and Hawaiian Tropic sunscreens are 50% off this week. No prices in ad, but I believe these run for around $10 at regular price. At 50% off, they’d be $5. For Banana Boat, buy two and use the $3-off-2 from the 5/18 RP2 or a printable. Pay $7 for two, or $3.50 each.

For Hawaiian Tropic, use the $1 coupon from the 5/18 RP2, 4/27 SS or a printable and pay $4. 

Buy a 24-pack of Miller for $13.99 and get a package of 15oz. Ball Park Franks for one penny AND a 12oz. package of Ball Park Franks buns for another penny! You must buy all three items in the same transaction.

You do not need to use your Preferred Card to receive sale prices anymore. But if you want to use SavingStar ecoupons and Jewel’s own ecoupons, continue to use your card.  Don’t discard it if you intend to continue using ecoupons at Jewel! SavingStar has confirmed they will still continue their offers at Jewel. We have also noticed that you get many more Catalina coupons (the per-product kind that are for specific items, like “.75 off Prego pasta sauce”) when you use your Jewel card, as your purchase history is tied to it.

Pick up a free “Cookie Credit Card” in the bakery, and your child can get a free cookie with every visit to Jewel. And, pick up a “Healthy Eaters” card at the customer service counter, and your child can get a FREE banana or Red Delicious apple when they shop with you. Through 12/31/14.

Fuel Rewards are back at Jewel-Osco — that is, if you have a MasterCard. Visit the Fuel Rewards Network at www.fuelrewards.com and create a free account. Or, if you already have an account, log in. Link your MasterCard to your FRN account. Then, pay with your MasterCard when you shop at Jewel-Osco, and you’ll earn a .05/gallon reward for every $50 spent in store. Your fuel rewards points are redeemable at Shell gas stations.

Jewel’s coupon policy allows shoppers to apply manufacturer coupon overage to other items in the same transaction. It also allows two manufacturer coupons to be used on a Buy One Get One Free sale. There have been register issues with this in the past, but many reports are coming in that the issues have been fixed. (Fantastic!)

Watch very closely with two coupons on a Buy One Get One Free. The second coupon will appear to scan fine, but it will show as $0.00 at the register. Be prepared to call on your cashier to manually adjust this for you immediately if they do not intervene.

 If you anticipate any issues with this, I would recommend carrying a copy of Jewel’s coupon policy, which outlines both of these issues clearly.

There’s a new “Big Book of Savings” ad valid 4/2/14-4/29/14. The cover of the book has an ad for the new Monopoly “Shop Play Win” game beginning at Jewel. Note that this is not an actual “book,” but a supplemental ad to the weekly ad. Pick it up at the service counter or on racks at Jewel.
