Note that you cannot use the coupon on two items that total less than $2.50. The two items must exceed $2.50. But, here are some good candidates. All prices were gathered at the Huntley Jewel:

  • $1 – EE single Paper Towel roll
  • $1.09 – EE Scrub Sponge
  • $1.49 – EE 2-pack Erasers (like Magic Erasers)
  • $1.49 – EE Steel Wool pads
  • $1.49- EE big Paper Towel roll
  • $1.69 – EE 64oz. Bleach
  • $1.89 – EE Toilet Bowl Cleaner
  • $1.99 – EE Stainless Steel Wipes
  • $1.99 – EE 24oz. dish detergent

Here are some ideas:

One EE scrub sponge ($1.09) and one EE 2-pack erasers, steel wool or big paper towel roll ($1.49) – total $2.58. After coupon, pay .08 for both!

One roll of EE paper towels ($1) and one EE 64-ounce bleach ($1.69) – total, $2.69. After coupon, just .19!

One roll of EE paper towels ($1) and one EE toilet bowl cleaner ($1.89) – total, $2.89. After coupon, just .39!

NOTE: This $2.50 coupon has NOT been scanning automatically at the register. Make sure it comes off your total, or have the cashier adjust it for you.

While this one is not in the ad, the rolls are still scanning at $1. I had one reader write last week who did not see sale tags at the store, but also did not scan a roll. Why not scan a roll and see if your store has them for $1 too?

Reader Bigmoney notes that Jewel is not going to carry these anymore, so finding them may be hit-or-miss at your store.

OR… check your store’s clearance area. I found them today on clearance in Huntley for $1.49 – .49 after coupon!

“The More You Shop, The More You Save” Catalina sale

DEAL: With $3-off-2 coupon, pay $2.98 and get a $1 Catalina. That’s $1.98 for two, or .99 each.
After the 3/2 coupon expires, these will be $1.49 each with the printable after the deal.

  1. Note that this week’s Jewel ad ends on TUESDAY. I’m told that Jewel is switching their ads from Thurs-to-Wednesday to Wednesday-to-Tuesday. I’m trying to find out whether or not we will still get the Jewel ad in the Wednesday Chicago Tribune with this switch…

    UPDATE: Jewel confirms on Facebook that the ad will still be in the Wednesday paper, but they’re very tight-lipped about why this is changing or what we might expect on Wednesday, June 5th. Join the conversation on Facebook here.

  2. Is it on sale for $2 or $1.50? You have it for $1.50, then use a $.50 printable which drops the price to….$1.50?? I stink at math in my head….LOL…but to even my math challenged brain, that doesn’t add up. :)

    Is the yogurt really on sale for $2? :-)
