Jewel-Osco Grocery Deals

This week’s game day is September 8th vs. the Bengals! (GO BEARS!) Here’s the full Bears season schedule for reference.  I’m going to enjoy this promo just as much as I enjoyed Blackhawks jersey game day savings too!

For every 20 stamps you collect, you can choose one free item. For every stamp saver card you fill, you can choose six free items. Or, collect 10 stamps and pay $2.99, plus your stamps, for one item.

Watch very closely with two coupons on a Buy One Get One Free. The second coupon will appear to scan fine, but it will show as $0.00 at the register. Be prepared to call on your cashier to manually adjust this for you immediately if they do not intervene.

 If you anticipate any issues with this, I would recommend carrying a copy of Jewel’s coupon policy, which outlines both of these issues clearly.

UPDATE: Some people have reported their Jewels have higher regular prices for these ($1.19.) I’m posting what I found at my store (Huntley) so prices may vary a bit depending where you are. Through 9/30.

  2. link for these cereals states $1 off 2 any General Mills cereals LISTED: Chex, Fiber One, Total, Wheaties, Oatmeal Crisp, Raisin Nut Brand, Basic 4 so they can’t be used for sale cereal I guess :(

  3. There’s another MQ for Cascade in the September issue of Latina magazine. $1.00 off 1. Plus 17 more P&G coupons in the same issue in a special section of the magazine.

    Puff’s coupon is $.50 off three in the same section in Latina.

  4. I tried the 3 180 count Puffs a few minutes ago and the $5.00 instant savings did not come off. The manager manually entered the $5 savings, but she said she would have to look into it. I foresee problems with this P&G deal.

  5. I went to jewel this morning and bought the 6 Mr. clean, 6 puffs, 3 freeze, and 3 dawn soap. The register was not taking off the 5$ so the cashier called the manager and she said to pay for transaction and maybe a Catalina will prompt out, I knew it wouldn’t, but we tried anyways. Sure enough it didn’t. She then said well I will refund you the 5$ for each and she ended up giving me back 30$ which was a great buy. But I knew something was wrong and now reading the post I see. Well for this time I lucked out and stuck to my guns with the ad. :) Was thinking of trying it again this afternoon I will continue to read the post and see what happens.

  6. Mashupmom also found a $.55 printable for Joy cones, https://www.joycone.com/content/promotions. Since Jewel allows a coupon on the free item, you get ice cream and the cones for $1.70! It’s a bricks coupon, but they only allow one print. And wouldn’t you know it didn’t scan right, so the cashier entered it manually.

  7. What are people’s thoughts on taking the Jewel ad to Wal-Mart for a price match? The Jewel that’s closest to me is about 30 minutes away (2 cities away) and I’d hate to drive that far and have everything be gone already.

  8. Make sure to check elsewhere in the store for those items too, if your shelf is empty. My store didn’t have any puffs this morning at 10:30 am already, so I asked if there is any in the back. They pointed me to a whole separate display by the meat dept. that had tons of Puffs and other items too!
    I also saw a few separate Febreze Refresh displays on the sides of isles too. And even though only Stick and Refresh was listed, I tried Set and Refresh too, and it worked! I stacked 10 high and it worked fine.

  9. I could not get these for free. Cashier says coupon exceeds purchase price and they do not accept the coupons. Am I missing something?

  10. huge disappointment at volo jewel and spring grove jewel. sold out at both stores on all p&g items!! didnt the sale just start on wed??? why does this always happen?? they said they could give me the sale prices in the form of a rain check but couldnt honor the 5.00 off on 3 because the registers adjusts the 5.00 off during the sale. they also said they cant be sure they will get more and to check back saturday.. i already burned up enough gas driving to 2 stores and i work 60 hour weeks so highly doubt i’ll have time to check back. my question is why do stores order so little and run out in a day after advertising a sale that lures us all in? i find that jewel does this more then doms does. its so frusterating!!!

  11. Saturday was the first day I was able to get to a Jewel since this great P&G deal started. I expected to find cleared shelves but I went anyway. The Jewel at 179th St and Wolf in Orland Park has set a limit of only one $5 savings per person per day — needless to say, their shelves aren’t cleared, but it will be a big pain to go there once each day to get all of the deals that I am interested in. I haven’t seen many people mention that their Jewel set a limit, and of those Jewels that have set a limit, I think one deal per day is pretty extreme on their part. What kind of limits have others seen?

  12. going to jewel again to see if they have re stocked the p&g items. if i get a rain check for the sale prices will they let me use my coupon when they get more mr clean?
