15.25oz. Pillsbury cake mixes are 3-for-$4. Look for freestanding Pillsbury cake mix displays for $1-off-2 tearpads (see them here!) Buy two. Pay $1.66 for two, or about .83 each! The displays I saw had a new cake mix flavor for fall – caramel apple.

Kellogg’s Fruit Snacks 8oz. are on sale for $1.67. Buy two and use the $1-off-2 from the Kellogg’s Back to School coupon book (found in stores) to drop these to about $1.17 each. This coupon also requires you to purchase water, so an easy thing to do would be to do this deal in conjunction with the Jewel free water deal.

64oz. Old Orchard 100% juices are on sale 3-for-$5. Print a $1-off-2 coupon and a .50 coupon at this link, and you’ll drop these to about $1.17 per bottle!

24oz. Barilla pasta sauce is on sale for $2. Use the .75 coupon from the 9/7 SS2 and pay $1.25.

16oz. Chi-Chi’s salsa is on sale for $2. Buy two and use the $1-off-2 from the 8/17 SS to drop these to $1.50 per jar.

46-64oz. V8 V-Fusion and Splash juices are on sale for $2. Use the .50 V-Fusion coupon from the 9/7 SS1 or the $1-off-2 Splash coupon from the 9/7 SS1 to drop these to $1.50 each!

3-13.7oz. Nabisco crackers (ad shows Triscuit and Wheat Thins) are $1.99. Buy two and use the .75-off-2 from the 8/10 SS (exp. 9/20!) Pay $3.23 for two, or about $1.62 each.

Carnation Breakfast Essentials Instant Breakfast 12.6-13oz. is on sale for $4.29. Use the $1.50 coupon from the 8/17 SS and pay $2.79.

6-24ct. Dean’s ice cream novelties (bars, sandwiches) are on sale for $3. Use the .55 coupon from the 7/13 SS and pay $2.45.

20.3-30.9oz. Freschetta pizzas are on sale for $5. Buy two and use this $1.25-off-2 printable. Pay $8.75 for two, or about $4.38 each!

Dr. Scholl’s massaging gel insoles are $9.99. Buy two and use the $8-off-2 from the 9/7 SS1 and drop these to $5.99 each.

36 double roll packs of Quilted Northern bath tissue are on sale for $12.49. Use the $1 coupon from the 9/7 RP1 or a printable. Pay $11.49 — this works out to about .32 per double roll, a great price!

There’s a coupon in the new ad for a $25 Jewel-Osco gift card with your new or transferred prescription. SAVE this coupon as it’s good through the end of the year, and people always seem to ask for these on weeks the coupon ISN’T in the ad.

There are variances in some stores’ Jewel ads epending on location. I use the Algonquin, Illinois Jewel location’s ad for my writeups.

You do not need to use your Preferred Card to receive sale prices anymore. But if you want to use SavingStar ecoupons and Jewel’s own ecoupons, continue to use your card.  Don’t discard it if you intend to continue using ecoupons at Jewel! SavingStar has confirmed they will still continue their offers at Jewel. We have also noticed that you get many more Catalina coupons (the per-product kind that are for specific items, like “.75 off Prego pasta sauce”) when you use your Jewel card, as your purchase history is tied to it.

Pick up a free “Cookie Credit Card” in the bakery, and your child can get a free cookie with every visit to Jewel. And, pick up a “Healthy Eaters” card at the customer service counter, and your child can get a FREE banana or Red Delicious apple when they shop with you. Through 12/31/14.

Jewel’s coupon policy allows shoppers to apply manufacturer coupon overage to other items in the same transaction. It also allows two manufacturer coupons to be used on a Buy One Get One Free sale. There have been register issues with this in the past, but many reports are coming in that the issues have been fixed. (Fantastic!)

Watch very closely with two coupons on a Buy One Get One Free. The second coupon will appear to scan fine, but it will show as $0.00 at the register. Be prepared to call on your cashier to manually adjust this for you immediately if they do not intervene.

If you anticipate any issues with this, I would recommend carrying a copy of Jewel’s coupon policy, which outlines both of these issues clearly.
