$5 off $15 P&G sale

We have a new “Buy $15, Save $5 Instantly” sale on P&G products this week. The ad states that it’s limit 1 per transaction and that all items need to be purchased in the same transaction. The ad also states (and read this carefully – I did!) “Instant savings discount is applied on NON P&G items. Minimum purchase requirement must be after coupon reductions.”

In the past, instant-savings deals at Jewel have been pre-coupon, so again, keep all of this in mind for scenarios. You’ll also need at least $5 of non-P&G items for the instant savings to apply to according to the ad.

Pick up a free “Cookie Credit Card” in the bakery, and your child can get a free cookie with every visit to Jewel. And, pick up a “Healthy Eaters” card at the customer service counter, and your child can get a FREE banana or Red Delicious apple when they shop with you. Through 12/31/15.

A note on overage and B1G1F sales

Jewel’s coupon policy allows shoppers to apply manufacturer coupon overage to other items in the same transaction. It also allows two manufacturer coupons to be used on a Buy One Get One Free sale. There have been register issues with this in the past, but many reports are coming in that the issues have been fixed. (Fantastic!)

Watch very closely with two coupons on a Buy One Get One Free. The second coupon will appear to scan fine, but it will show as $0.00 at the register. Be prepared to call on your cashier to manually adjust this for you immediately if they do not intervene.

If you anticipate any issues with this, I would recommend carrying a copy of Jewel’s coupon policy, which outlines both of these issues clearly.

Why did Jewels discontinue the Chiquita Bananas? The Del Monte bannanas goes soft from the inside out and not the outside in.
