Jewel-Osco Deals of the Week: 6/18/14 – 6/24/14

Joy 12-24ct. ice cream cones are on sale for $2. Buy two and use this $1-off-2 Facebook printable. Pay $3 for two, or $1.50 each.

15-18oz. Kellogg’s Frosted Mini Wheats are on sale for $1.99. Buy three and use the $1-off-3 from the 6/1 RP to drop these to about $1.66 each. If you have Kellogg’s Family Rewards points, you can print a $1.50 coupon that will drop this to .49!

12-packs of Dr. Pepper Vanilla, 7-Up and Canada Dry are on sale 4-for-$9, limit 8. You must buy in quantities of four to receive the $2.25 price (otherwise, they ring up at $4.29 each…)

12oz. Johnsonville breakfast sausage is on sale for $3. Buy two and use the $1.50-off-2 from the 6/1 SS to drop these to $2.25 each! There’s also a $1-off-2 in the 4/13 SS2.

16oz. Johnsonville Griller patties are on sale for $3.49, and 32oz. packages are on sale for $7.99.
(In looking at the ad, I was already wondering why you wouldn’t simply buy two 16oz. packs for $6.98 instead of $7.99!) The 5/18 SS has a coupon for $1 off 2 16oz. packages OR $1 off one 32oz. package. If you buy two 16oz. packages, you’ll drop these to $2.99 each.

Or, buy one 32oz. package and drop it to $6.99. (Except, don’t. That is not a deal. Buy two 16oz. packages and save a dollar. Let this be a “smaller sizes” deal lesson for you..!)

2-5oz. Coppertone Clearly Sheer sunscreens are on sale for $7.99. Buy two and use the $4-off-2 from the 5/18 SS (exp. 6/22!) to drop these to $5.99 each.

Buy $15 worth of participating Coca-Cola products through 6/24 and get a Catalina coupon good for a FREE Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup t-shirt. You do not need to use your Preferred Card to receive sale prices anymore. But if you want to use SavingStar ecoupons and Jewel’s own ecoupons, continue to use your card.  Don’t discard it if you intend to continue using ecoupons at Jewel! SavingStar has confirmed they will still continue their offers at Jewel. We have also noticed that you get many more Catalina coupons (the per-product kind that are for specific items, like “.75 off Prego pasta sauce”) when you use your Jewel card, as your purchase history is tied to it.

Pick up a free “Cookie Credit Card” in the bakery, and your child can get a free cookie with every visit to Jewel. And, pick up a “Healthy Eaters” card at the customer service counter, and your child can get a FREE banana or Red Delicious apple when they shop with you. Through 12/31/14.

Fuel Rewards are back at Jewel-Osco — that is, if you have a MasterCard. Visit the Fuel Rewards Network at www.fuelrewards.com and create a free account. Or, if you already have an account, log in. Link your MasterCard to your FRN account. Then, pay with your MasterCard when you shop at Jewel-Osco, and you’ll earn a .05/gallon reward for every $50 spent in store. Your fuel rewards points are redeemable at Shell gas stations.

Jewel’s coupon policy allows shoppers to apply manufacturer coupon overage to other items in the same transaction. It also allows two manufacturer coupons to be used on a Buy One Get One Free sale. There have been register issues with this in the past, but many reports are coming in that the issues have been fixed. (Fantastic!)

Watch very closely with two coupons on a Buy One Get One Free. The second coupon will appear to scan fine, but it will show as $0.00 at the register. Be prepared to call on your cashier to manually adjust this for you immediately if they do not intervene.

If you anticipate any issues with this, I would recommend carrying a copy of Jewel’s coupon policy, which outlines both of these issues clearly.
