During one of my MyMixx shopping trips, I noticed that a digital coupon I’d loaded for $1 off 4 Super Chill flavored waters did not ring correctly. I bought four bottles, but instead of MyMixx taking $1 off all four, it tried to take $1.00 off one bottle. MyMixx does not allow coupon overage, so the $1.00 ecoupon reduced itself to .79, taking only .79 off my Super Chill waters and not the full $1.00.
Since then, readers have reported similar issues with MyMixx.
- Reader Calibabydolly writes, “My Mixx is not working right on multiple items. I tried to redeem the $2/2 Gum products on 2 toothbrushes I found on sale for $1.24 and just like your fruit waters, it only took off $1.24, stating max amount reached. I am not liking this system when you have to watch everything they ring up and then it still is not right.” Reader Priya had the same issue with the same Gum ecoupon, also when buying two toothbrushes.
- Reader Al writes, “I used the $1/2 Sunkist 2-liter MyMixx coupon on two 2-liters that were .79 each. Instead of taking .50 off each, it took .79 off one and I lost .21 on the deal.”
- Reader Angie writes, “I used the BOGO Pledge coupon on MyMixx. It made my first Pledge free but not the second. As soon as the first Pledge was scanned, the register showed MyMixx making its price $0. It appears I didn’t have to buy the second one at all as the first one was free as soon as it was scanned.”
- Reader Erica writes, “I bought the Screaming Sicilian pizza on the $5 Friday special. I used the $1 MyMixx ecoupon. The MyMixx coupon came off, but then the register raised the price of the pizza so it was still $5. I would have been better off using the $1 printable coupon instead because I should have got the pizza for $4. My store said they could not correct it.” Readers Michael and Maria emailed the same thing happened to them.
I’d advise watching your registers. I have reached out to Jewel to let them know this is an issue (again) & I’ll let you know what I hear back.
Coupon Maven says
I talked to one of my cashiers today, who said the associates had a special offer on brownies from the bakery. She waited to buy them until the brownies were part of a one-day sale, and on that day, the price “magically” jumped back up to the sale price after the MyMixx ecoupon brownie coupon was applied — effectively cancelling out the coupon’s value.
I decided to try out what other people are saying. I bought two .79 Sunkist Ten 2-liters and two $1.24 GUM toothbrushes:
Sure enough – the $1-off-2 Sunkist is ringing as a $1-off-ONE, which the register then reduces to .79.
The $2-off-2 GUM is ringing as a $2-off-ONE, which the register then reduces to $1.24.
