Final Twinkies Shipment Headed to Jewel-Osco®
(Itasca, Ill.) JEWEL-OSCO®, a leading Midwest food and pharmacy retailer, is giving Twinkie lovers a chance to get one final taste of the iconic Hostess Brands treat.
This week, the retailer will receive what is believed to be the final shipment of Twinkies in the country. More than 20,000 boxes of Twinkies will be available starting Tuesday morning, Dec. 11, at select Chicago-area JEWEL-OSCO stores. Customers looking for Ding Dongs, Zingers and Orange Cupcakes will also be in luck.
The Hostess products will be sold at regular price, while supplies last. There will be no limit on how many items a customer can buy.

Hi- I noticed that there is no limit on how much you can purchase. I am worried that people are going to clean out the shelves, and sell the stuff on ebay for lots of money. Also, I noticed that there is a 6 hour time frame. I wonder how many people are going to wait in the store until the truck pulls up. I haven’t had twinkies since I was a kid, but I might be tempted to stop at Jewel, but no way am I waiting for four hours.

I spoke with someone at the Crystal Lake Jewel and was told these are short dated. The sell by (or best by) date is like in a day or 2, in case it matters to anyone.
