TODAY, May 8, is Stamp Out Hunger day! Mail carriers all across the country are participating in a nationwide food drive! If you’d like to be a part of it, simply leave a bag of food near your mailbox. Your postal worker will pick it up and deliver it to a local food bank. Easy as that! :)

I just wanted to Thank you. We are participating in this for the first time. If it weren’t for what I’ve learned from you, I wouldn’t think that we could afford to give anything away.
I know you hear this all the time, but you have been such a blessing to my family, and now we can pay it forward to others.
Thank you!

I was going to leave stuff at the door, but I can’t imagine that he will be happy carrying all this stuff AND the mail as well. I guess we can all help him by bringing it to his truck. I’m sure he’ll appreciate it and it will save his back. He told me lots of his colleagues have back and knee problems already (can you imagine what this job does to your knees when you have to plow through the snow every day for a couple of months??).

bring the box of food to the post office this morning because I felt it was too heavy.

My bag is still there but we got our mail already. I put it out at 10 and there wasn’t any mail yet, I’m hoping they’ll come by and pick it up later! If not I’ll just take it to the food pantry.

I’ve been doing this every year they have done this. I think it is a very good cause. Actually put it out last night as we weren’t home overnight and did not get home until after 1pm. Bag still there but no mail. Wanted to make sure it was out. With the weather I triple plastic bagged it to keep it dry. Checked later and it was picked up with mail in the box.

I left mine with my mom’s donation at her house ( I live in an apt. and am pretty sure one of the neighbors would think it was left for them), she called me, said it was still there.
What’s the point of having an advertising campaign? My mom got a post card about in the mail, I only heard about it here. Why leave the stuff?
