Whether you’re a new user of Meijer Mperks electronic coupons or an old pro, here are a few tips to help you maximize your savings with Mperks!
Many Mperks offers are one-time uses.
When you click on an offer in Mperks, the Terms & Exclusions text can be very helpful. It explains how many times you can use the Mperks offer. In the case of the pizza coupon shown above, it can only be used once. As this is a digital manufacturer offer, it also cannot be combined with another manufacturer coupon.
However, some Mperks offers can be used multiple times.
Here’s where things get interesting — it really is worth reading the terms of each offer you load, as some of the Mperks ecoupons can be used more than once. For example, this coupon for peanuts will net you $1.00 in savings for every jar you buy, up to five times in the same transaction. So, you can buy five jars and receive $1.00 off each.
I love these — I think one of the most common complaints consumers have about electronic coupons is that there aren’t enough “loads” if you want to stock up on something during a sale. It’s great to see that Meijer is working with brands to increase the number of times shoppers can use some of these higher-value Mperks offers too.

Like free stuff? (Who doesn’t?) Sometimes you can even find FREE items on Mperks. Through August 19th, load a FREE 12-pack of Nestea — how’s that for end-of-summer refreshment? It’s also worth keeping tabs on Meijer’s Facebook page, as sometimes they post exclusive codes to unlock hidden offers and and bonus discounts in Mperks too.
“As Seen In Ad” markers help you save
Meijer’s weekly circular often lets you know when there are additional Mperks discounts for the products on sale in the ad with text like “Save even more on these products: Clip coupons at mperks.com.” When you visit Mperks, you can quickly spot these in-ad offers with the “As Seen In Ad” cues, like these:
In an earlier post, I’ve also got step-by-step instructions for getting started with Mperks if you’ve never used Meijer’s electronic coupons before, so check this out if you’re completely new to Mperks.

I have a question…let’s say I buy 2 Kraft Salad Dressings. I have a $1.00 paper coupon and a $1.00 mperks.
When checking out and they scan the coupon – it will pop up and ask do you want to use your mperks. Do I say yes or no – what do I want them to take first, the paper coupon or the mperks?
Coupon Maven says
In that case, it doesn’t matter — you have two equal discounts, so if you choose the Mperk, the paper coupon will scan next on the 2nd item. If you choose the paper coupon first, the Mperk will attach to the second item once it’s scanned.
Where this really becomes important is if one coupon (Mperk or paper) is higher value than the other. If I’m buying one salad dressing, and I have a $1.50 paper coupon and a $1 Mperks, I -want- to use the paper coupon over the Mperk, because it’s worth more. I like that Meijer allows you to have a choice as to which one to use.

How long does it take for MPerks to be ready for use? One time I set it up at home, went and shopped, and they weren’t in the account yet.
Coupon Maven says
They should be instantaneous – I’ve added offers while standing in the store that I used at checkout 10-15 minutes later.
