The electric issue in the house I grew up in would fry the internals of our Colecovision (Toys R US luckily had a great return policy back then!).
I loved to play Cosmic Avenger, Ladybug, Donkey Kong, & Smurf (Smurf’s have tender feet!)
After exchaning it for a 3rd or 4th time, we got rid of it.
I would have LOVED to get my hands on the Adam computer that was sold as an ad-on back then ,but I already had an Atari 400 that I gutted & modified & upgraded the heck out of and my parents probably didn’t want me to blow my money on a 2nd home computer.
These Colecovision Flashbacks go for $25.99 on Amazon, so this is a nice price!
There are free emulators out there for just about every system & arcade game.
You can build your own cabinets & some of the roms (games) have been released to public domain.
I’m always looking for a discount deal for No Limit Arcades in Algonquin or Galloping Ghost in Brookfield
