In Indiana, Meijer purchased the remaining 1,200 seats necessary to sell out the Colts game against the Chiefs, and it’s donating the tickets to area military families:
“Meijer understands just how important it is to support the communities where our customers and team members work and live, and are pleased to offer these playoff tickets to local military families as a way of thanking them for all they do,” Co-Chairman Doug Meijer said.
Meijer’s ticket block for tomorrow’s playoff game against the Kansas City Chiefs has been distributed to the following organizations: Indiana National Guard, Indiana Blue Star Salute, Survivor Outreach Services, Wish for Our Heroes.
And, in Ohio, Kroger purchased a large block of seats to the Bengals game to help it also reach capacity so that the game could be broadcast on television. Kroger is distributing the tickets tomorrow, 1/4, two at a time, to anyone showing a Military ID at seven participating Kroger locations:
“This is an exciting time to be a Bengals fan,” said Sukanya Madlinger, President of Kroger’s Cincinnati/Dayton Division. “And, Kroger is a huge supporter of the brave men and women who protect and defend our country. Giving them the opportunity to watch the ‘undefeated at home’ Bengals in action is a great way for us to say ‘thank you’ for your brave service.”
The distribution will take place on Saturday, Jan. 4 at the following Kroger store locations:
Blue Ash, Amelia, Liberty Township, Newport Marketplace, Dent, Austin Landing and Englewood.
How cool is that? All the football fans are happy, and our military men and women will get to enjoy the games live and in person!
