Hello, Super-Couponers, and Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend. It’s important to remember that this holiday is also our time to remember all the brave members of the armed forces who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country.
“In Flanders Fields” – John McCrae
In Flanders fields the poppies grow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

May everyone take a moment to appreciate all that is ‘being American’ on a day like today and say a word of thanks to those who have and are sacrificing on our behalf 24/7/365.
Although my family (including some vets) have NOT lost a loved one, I feel truly blessed to be among such brave families who have and I am in awe of their dedication to this great, free and amazing country that we share.
