- All candy IS indeed 50% off. The medium-sized bags of M&Ms are $3.69, so $1.85 after the discount. Just .85 with the
$1 coupons from the 10/27 RP (exp. 12/8!) There are also $1-off-2 coupons in the 12/8 insert, 11/24 RP and 11/10 RP, and a printable for the holiday varieties. This store was out of Christmas M&MS already, but guess what else I found? 4th of JULY M&Ms, red white and blue, also for $1.85. (Hey, the $1-off-2 coupons are for HOLIDAY M&Ms, but they don’t say which holiday..!) Those M&Ms don’t expire until 3/14, so we’ll be celebrating our nation’s independence all winter long… - My son needed two bags of gumdrops for a school gingerbread house-making project. The Safeway brand was $1.50, so .75 after the discount. So were their gummy bears and jelly beans…
- Kids’ chocolate advent calendars are $1.49 – .75 each after the discount. My kids already have theirs for this year, but these don’t expire until March 2015, so I got some for next year…!
- All of the Good Cook cooking tools, utensils, cake pans and baking pans are 50% off too, and there were a lot of people in this aisle! Many of the cake pans were in the $3-4 range after discount, and a lot of the hand kitchen tools (spatulas, basters, whisks) were $1.50-$2.50 after the discount.
- The hardware aisle is also 50% off, and this includes things like light bulbs, car care products, shoe polish, Rit dye, and sewing supplies. I grabbed some sewing needles, shoe polish, and a few packs of extra-long skate laces, as those can be hard to find when you need them (if you skate, that is!)
- There is a sign in the bakery at our store saying all the fresh baked goods are 50% off too. The kids picked up a $3.99 box of frosted sugar cookies, which did not ring up 50% off at the register. (Always a good idea to watch everything scan!)
We also found these hot-and-cold thermal plastic cups:
Also, one of the freezer cases was also 50% off at our store:
Other notes: The laundry/cleaning/pet aisles are not part of the 50% off yet, nor are the Hallmark cards and products. The baby aisle at our store is wiped clean (no pun intended!) Not much left there. There are still a lot of vitamins and supplements, and the Safeway brand of these are both Buy One Get One Free AND 50% off the price of the first bottle, so some of those could be good buys.
If you’re out shopping, feel free to share any of your good 50% Dominick’s deals too!

there were a lot of good deals on shampoo and soap.. garnier fructose has some 1.00 off out there and vidal Sassoon has a 3.00 off of 2. also colgate was a deal with a 75 cent and a 50 cent off out there. I didn’t even know the candy was on sale,, I do believe I will go back now that I’ve been home and have gotten my coupons more organized. thanks for letting us know jill!!

one thing I noticed is that everything scans at regular price and the 50% off gets applied when they total the order, makes it really hard to make sure 50% comes off of everything. you have to do the math after.

Do your JFU coupons come off also?

Hello,
Do you know when the rest of the food items will be marked down?
Thanks

The Arlington Heights store has cookware/utensils, hardware, candy, bug stuff, bath and baby items (baby items mostly gone) at 50% off. I was looking for Pyrex and found 2 pieces – 1 pie plate for $2.69 (orig. $7.49) and a 2 Qt. casserole with glass lid for $4.81 (orig. $12.49). There is a $1 off Pyrex Q in the 11-17S. I did not see any other Pyrex.
FYI – the aluminum servingware/cookware was specifically excluded in 50% off kitchen.
No frozen or bakery items yet.
