The new 8/18 SS insert has a .75-off-2 coupon for Musselman’s applesauce 4-6 packs – great for back to school!
As a reminder, through August 31, 2013, you can print a voucher for a free game of bowling from Musselman’s website. Bring one cardboard cover from the applesauce pack and the voucher per person to a participating bowling alley (a list is here.) We’ve enjoyed bowling off and on all summer with this wonderful promo, as it’s cheaper to buy the applesauce AND go bowling than it is to go to our local Brunswick Zone and pay the regular rate.
There’s also a mail-in rebate form for Musselman’s in the new 8/18 SS insert: Send in 15 UPCs from Musselman’s applesauce 6-packs and receive a free $10 Options gift card by mail. The Options gift card is good for Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic or Athleta stores!
So, any way you look at it, this is a good time to buy Musselman’s. After I get my papers tomorrow, I’ll be stocking up on applesauce cups for school lunches – then saving the UPCs for another family bowling night before the end of the month, as well as saving UPCs for the rebate.
Note that we discovered earlier this year that in Chicagoland, Musselman’s applesauce isn’t as easy to find as it used to be. Jewel stopped stocking the little cups back in January, and I’ve not seen it at Dominick’s or Meijer either in quite some time. If you’re near a Woodman’s, Woodman’s has 4-packs for $1.79 and 6-packs for $2.39. The 4-packs are fine for bowling, but you’ll need the 6-packs if you want to do the rebate.
Happy bowling, rebating, and applesauce-eating!

On my Facebook wall, a reader reminded me that Jewel-Osco can special order the applesauce cups for you. They still carry Muselmann’s, just not in the individual cups. Grab one of the special order forms hanging in the aisle and let them know how many you want.
