I appeared on NBC 5 News in Chicago during the 5:00pm and 10:00pm newscasts I went shopping with anchor Kim Vatis in the city, and we discussed ways to save with coupons. (I also had a shopping helper along for this downtown shopping spree… my 4-year-old son!)

It was great and the little man was the greatest. Maybe NBC can start a new weekly segment, Chicagoland Coupon Queens – Doing it right and ethically!!!

Is it my computer or the video? I have tried numerous times to watch the video; I even went directly to nbcchicago.com to watch it. After sitting thru far too many French cheese commercials, all I get is: “The selected item is not currently available.” Since I get the commercials, I’m assuming the problem is with NBC.

I enjoy watching your tv news shopping trips because I always learn something new.
I shop for groceries every two weeks and even though my total is nowhere near $9.18, I have saved a lot. My grocery bill is about $50-55 a week. And my stockpile keeps growing.
