My syndicated Super-Couponing Tips column for the week is entitled “Are subscription savings programs worth it?“
Here’s an excerpt:
“Select the item or items you would like to buy, choose how often you would like the items delivered, and the site will offer you a discount in exchange for you joining the program. If you’ve selected monthly deliveries each month, your selected items will automatically ship to you, and your credit or debit card on file will be charged. Depending on the retailer’s price policies, the prices for the items you buy may either be locked in or be fluid month to month, raising or lowering with market fluctuations.”

The key is knowing you’ll use the products. 5 to 15% doesn’t seem like a great deal though when BOGO Half Off offers are common. Not all subscriptions allow you to add coupons. A lot of variables to consider before committing to a program like this.
