My syndicated Super-Couponing Tips column for the week is entitled “Confusing coupon small print.”
Here’s an excerpt:
“While I do believe that we shoppers should abide by the fine print on our coupons, I do find this wording discouraging from a customer experience standpoint. Coupons are designed to drive purchases, and this lotion coupon motivated you to buy this product – until you couldn’t. It’s unfortunate that your feelings about the brand will now be tied to your negative experience at the checkout, and I think this is something brands should consider before using similar exclusions on coupons.”
