My syndicated Super-Couponing Tips column for the week is entitled “Laundry detergent per-load pricing.“
Here’s an excerpt:
“Laundry detergent is a product that’s relatively easy to compare pricing on. While the guidelines I’m about to share are not always true 100% of the time, they’re good rules of thumb to keep in mind to save money.”

Good advice. Do you generally use fabric softener? Do you have thoughts or savings tips for sheets vs. liquid in that regard?
It’s been a bit since you wrote a column about saving on television subscriptions. I only mention it because with the slew of free streamers that has a decent amount of content (Pluto, Tubi, etc.) it might be a good time for an update if you were seeking an idea for a future column.

I don’t use liquid – I learned years ago that the majority of them are made from rendered cow fat, and no matter how nice it smells, I’ve never quite been able to get over the idea of pouring that on clean clothes..! In the winter, I do use dryer sheets — I buy Arm & Hammer brand, which are plant-based. Because I am brand-specific on this, I wait until they are around $1.50-$2 per box for the 40ct., which is a good price. We don’t often see coupons for them.
Thank you for the idea on saving on television — you are right that that’s a column topic overdue for a revisit soon! :)
