My syndicated Super-Couponing Tips column for the week is entitled “Time to get creative: Readers suggest laundry-at-home solutions.“
Here’s an excerpt:
“My best advice is to buy a WonderWash and a Panda spin dryer. Then, hang the finished items on a drying rack. It’s saved us from the laundromat for the past three years.”
I wasn’t familiar with either of these products until I looked them up online. They’re both interesting items that would certainly help anyone without laundry facilities at home.

Great tips. While the people impacted by such restrictions likely aren’t large in the context of the whole population, it’s still a large number and these tips will prove very useful. I do think laundromats should’ve been deemed essential, yet required to implement safety guidelines though. Clean clothing is important to health. I think they also need to start investing to take payments other than coins. I’m sure they could have people load money on a proprietary debit card to avoid crushing transaction fees as one idea.

I can’r read your entire column because I have an ad blocker. However, I am the person who suggested the use of the Wonder Wash and Panda spin dryer on your site a few weeks ago.
It takes time to develop a system for each and make them work for you. For us, it has been a lifesaver. We’ve avoided the laundry room in our condo for three years, which has saved us time, money and hassle. More importantly, the clothes are cleaner than they ever were when we washed them in community machines. Finally, the Wonder Wash is hand powered and the Panda spin dryer uses far less water and power than a regular dryer, which makes the system sustainable. It’s not the same as having an in-house washer and dryer, but if you are sufficiently motivated, this equipment can work.

Thank you SO much for the ideas. I am normally discouraged from mentioning name brands in my column, but I sent my editor a note asking if I could mention both these products by name to make it easier for people interested in them to find them. I was glad that they agreed that both products are really worth mentioning, especially with the events of this year. Again, thank you. :)
