  2. It’s a few minutes after you posted this and I should be asleep but my legs think they are at a disco! So I resorted to my iPad and opened your forum. Now instead of trying to go back to sleep, I am thinking about my mother in law’s biscotti which she makes with the Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix and dried cranberries- in my family, we fight over them and I’ve even resorted to hiding them.

    Now I am wide awake and I want a cookie!

  4. I just love when a soft chewy cookie melts in my mouth! My all time favorite cookie is a Christmas sugar cookie we make into all types of shapes and cover with creamy icing and maybe a few decorations. They turn out so soft and chewy I want one right now! LOL! I started this with my nieces when they were little and now have started the tradition with my lil ones. Merry Christmas!

  5. My favorite cookie at Christmas is gingerbread. It always reminds me of my grandmother and baking with her. The rest of the year I love sugar cookies; another favorite of my grandmother’s when it came to baking.

  11. I have an old family recipe for butter cookies, the kind your grandmother used to make. They are great. These items would be fun to use with my niece on our annual Christmas baking day.

  12. I absolutely love making a cookie called Mandelbradt. It comes out looking kind of like biscotti, but its just like eating a chocolate chip cookie only better. Its really easy to make and has walnuts, raisins, and chocolate chips in it topped with sugar and cinnamon. I could eat the whole batch! Too bad, they are not fat free :(

  13. It’s so hard to choose just one! My mom makes awesome monster cookies with the betty crocker pouches, I also really like flourless peanut butter cookies,and spritz are a must around the holidays. YUMMMMMMM!!

Favorite cookie – hmmm – probably chocolate chip (I’m pretty traditional when it comes to my cookies), or peanut butter (yum) or oatmeal chocolate chip or… I do love my cookies. The other day I had some cookies a friend made from recipes found at Betty Crocker.com using these sugar cookie mixes and a few extra ingredients, like Mint Chocolate Chip or Almond Poppyseed. Yum-o.   42. this time of year we make cookies for all our close neighbors, friends, school and dr. we make a variety, our favorites are pumpkin spice with butter cream frosting and snickerdoodles. we put them in glad containers that the kids decorate with perminate markers. add a bow and a nice card and off they go to spread holiday cheer. thanks to jills coupon teaching we save alot of money on our supplies. merry christmas to all

  44. Peanut Butter Kisses that is. My grandma used to bake Peanut Butter Blossoms every year. They have always been my favorite. Now I’m carrying the torch and changing it up just a bit. We use Kisses and Hugs. Happy Holidays to All!

  47. I really love making the Mrs. Fields’s recipe with the choc chips and oatmeal. Yum. But my favorite cookies are snickerdoodles and shortbread.

  48. I love snickerdoodles and they are my favorite to make. My grandmother and mom made the best Kolaczki so that comes in a very close second.

    But I wait all year for Salerno’s Holiday Jingles (now known as Santa’s Favorites). I can eat an entire box in one sitting. Dunking them into my coffee.

  49. Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without some homemade chocolate chip cookies! Santa likes them too! =)

  50. While my personal favorites are Snickerdoodles – it’s fun just saying it! – my go-to cookie for exchanges & such is Chocolate Crinkles. This year I’m twisting it to acknowledge our breakfast runs, and turning them into Espresso Crinkles. All are refrigerator cookies; so make the batter when you have time, pop them in the fridge, and bake them later when you have time. Critical for holiday schedules!

  51. I love doctoring up cookie mixes to make them my own. My favorite is sugar cookies with my great great grandma’s frosting recipe!

  60. My absolute favorite cookie is a no bake chocolate peanut butter cookie my mom used to make. You melted chocolate then added quick oats and peanut butter (I’m sure there was other stuff too) and dropped them onto wax paper to cool. YUMMY!!!

  69. OK, so for the holidays I have two favorites – My Old time favorite is the classic Oatmeal and Chocolate chip cookie, but for the holidays there is another one I like – Gingerbread!     Our family favorite is home made monster chocolate chip cookies, which I make using mini hershey’s kisses instead of chocolate chips. I do that as often as I can FIND the mini hershey’s kisses, which seems to be a holiday type seasonal item now (I had not noticed that before, so I will stock up now if given the opportunity!)

    Another family and FRIENDS fav would be my peppermint swirl cookies :o)

  106. I dont have a favorite cookie, I love them all, but if I had to pick one it would be your old fashion Nestle Chocolate Chip! I love holiday cookies most of all because I have made them with my mother and now this year we were supposed to include my 4 year old son. Unfortunelty we won’t be able to get together this year with my mother because my father is having some MAJOR/RISKY surgery next week and he cant risk being around or having my mother being around and bringing home any illness a 4 year old can catch at preschool. This years cookies will not taste as good.

  132. I usually make my cookies from scratch,, but since it was part of a deal recently, I tried the BC pouch kind and they were suprisingly really good…. I used real butter, maybe that had something to do with it :)

  134. Oh we make the dough and end up eating it before it gets baked.
    So any dough cookies. Yah I know raw eggs are bad but we all must be immune as we’ve never been sick.
    Chocolate chip cookie dough gets made most often.

  146. We have made it tradition to make “Santa” the Argo meltaways rolled in powdered sugar every year with a hot cup of hot chocolate. They go soooo well together! We also leave the reindeers a bowl of oatmeal & carrots too. They love it! ;)

  163. Chocolate chip are a perennial favorite at our house. But my personal favorites are chocolate crinkles or molasses. You can never have too many chocolate cookies in the house.

  170. It is not just any sugar cookie, it is a special kind of sugar cookies, they are not soft or crumbly, they are sturdy and decorated with fancy frosting! Love love love them!! And make sure there is no lemon in them or the frosting, yuck, lemon rind ruins the whole thing.

I love my mothers cookies she made when I was a kid. they were called anise cookies. cutouts with a hint of anise flavoring. even though I dislike anything with anise flavor, i love these. she has passed away, but I carry out this tradition to my kids so they can remember these comforting cookies like I do.

But I have recently found my new favorite cookie to be peppermint chip cookies, thanks to my mom’s great recipe a few years back!   185. I love to bake any and all cookies but my favorite is Chocolate chip walnut. Baking season is here and my friends love it when I start baking. It turns into non-stop goodies. Yesterday (Thursday) I made: a triple batch of Party mix, 3 kinds of fudge, Thumprint cookies, brownie pops, and mint brownies, and 4 pounds of Jerky.

  190. Christmas cookies are one way to revisit my childhood memories of Christmas. My mon made homemade rollout sugar cookies in many different shapes and sizes. Then she made a very thin frosting in many different colors which my brother, sister, and I “painted” onto the cookies. We had a lot of fun, great memories…all around a cookie!

  196. I love Betty Crocker cookie mixes. They are so easy and taste so great. I added their Maple Walnut Choc Chip cookie recipe to my holiday cookie tray. I can’t make them fast enough. My family is NUTS over them.

  203. Way back…funny to say that, now… but yeah, way back a good friend of mine and I worked in an industrial-sized kitchen for a good part of a year. We were in charge of all the baking and one of our best cookies (that I can’t get to turn out anything like they did there) were Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip. They were to die for… I miss them, and I miss her. *sigh* :)

  236. My favorite cookie is my mother-in-laws chocolate chip recipe which has won blue ribbons at County Fairs and the real reason that I love it so much is that it is one of the few things that my HUSBAND actually cooks!
