UPDATE: CONTEST HAS ENDED! The winner is Coupondad! Thanks to everyone who entered!
Hey, Super-Couponers… surprise! It’s a mid-week giveaway, sale, AND game!
December brings snow, family cheer, and homes filled with holiday spirit and homemade baked goods. Making Christmas cookies is always a big event around this time each year, and Betty Crocker, GladWare and Safeway are running a “Happy Holiday Treats” promotion to celebrate!
From December 8th through December 14th, when you purchase any two participating GladWare products at Safeway’s family of Stores (which includes Dominick’s, Tom Thumb, Randalls, Vons, and Genuardi’s) you’ll get a FREE Betty Crocker Cookie Mix Pouch! (while supplies last.)
And, to celebrate, I’ve got a “Happy Holiday Treats” Prize Pack to give away to one of my readers! You’ll be able to bake your cookies, package them up, and share them with friends and family!
This Betty Crocker / GladWare / Safeway “Happy Holiday Treats” Prize Pack contains:
- A package of Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie mix
- A GladWare sample pack
- A $25 Safeway gift card (good at Safeway, Dominick’s, Tom Thumb, Randalls, Vons, and Genuardi’s)
So how do you enter? Simply reply to this post to enter the giveaway… but there’s a twist! Mention your favorite kind of cookie somewhere in your post!
This Betty Crocker / GladWare / Safeway “Happy Holiday Treats” giveaway begins today, December 8, and runs for one week. The contest will end on December 14th at 11:59pm, and on December 15th, one winner will be chosen via a random number generator.
In the meantime, here’s an online game Fresh Values cardholders can play to win FREE Betty Crocker products too! Visit BakeSweetMemories.com to play a FREE online game. It’s like a cookie slot machine… if three of the same cookie line up, you win FREE Betty Crocker baking products. And get this… the free products you win are loaded to your store card as ecoupons — you can simply go to the store and pick them up, free with your Fresh Values card. (I have to admit, I thought this was pretty cool — I’ve never seen a giveaway with prizes delivered like this.) And, you can play every day from now through January 15, 2011!
SPECIAL NOTE to DOMINICK’S SHOPPERS: The ecoupons you win are loaded to your Fresh Values card via Cellfire. Cellfire is no longer actively supported as an ecoupon provider by Dominick’s, but you CAN still play and win IF you have an existing Cellfire account tied to your Dominick’s Fresh Values card. If you plan to play the game, you must read this additional information (opens in new window.)
UPDATE: As of 12/9, even if you win a prize and load it to an existing Cellfire account, the prize is NOT coming off the register at Dominick’s. Many readers are reporting the stores know nothing about this and are refusing to honor the ecoupon. I will post more information as I receive it.
The Bake Sweet Memories site also has great holiday recipe ideas, how-to videos, and tips for hosting a holiday cookie exchange.
Good luck with the “Happy Holiday Treats” giveaway! Remember to mention your favorite kind of COOKIE in your post to be entered to win!
Legalese: This giveaway is sponsored by Betty Crocker, GladWare and Safeway. Responding to this post with a comment qualifies readers to enter the contest. It’s a few minutes after you posted this and I should be asleep but my legs think they are at a disco! So I resorted to my iPad and opened your forum. Now instead of trying to go back to sleep, I am thinking about my mother in law’s biscotti which she makes with the Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix and dried cranberries- in my family, we fight over them and I’ve even resorted to hiding them.
Now I am wide awake and I want a cookie!

Way back…funny to say that, now… but yeah, way back a good friend of mine and I worked in an industrial-sized kitchen for a good part of a year. We were in charge of all the baking and one of our best cookies (that I can’t get to turn out anything like they did there) were Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip. They were to die for… I miss them, and I miss her. *sigh* :)

Our favorite cookies here are Snickerdoodle cookies, however, my kids have never been known to turn down any kind of cookie!
