The funny little Catalinas printing at Jewel-Osco… and another specific-to-only-you Catalina

I’ve been at a trade conference this week (which I’ll blog more about soon!) but I’ve been getting some email from readers commenting on the “tiny” new Catalinas printing at Jewel! I got some myself when I went shopping on Monday. Yes, they’re about half the size of a standard Catalina, but $1 off Chex and $1 off Cheerios store coupons, which can be stacked? I’ll happily take ’em!

In the same shopping trip, I also got another one of those specific-only-to-my-card Catalinas: I will receive a $2 Catalina for every $10 I spend on Post cereals from now until January — and the terms state that I must use my own store loyalty card to earn them. We saw an offer like this awhile back… and now here’s another…

  1. Jill, I got one of those Post specific-to-your-card notices the other day. The only problem is, I’m not sure it printed out for me. The cashier had been letting the Catalinas stack up, and when I asked him for my coupons, he handed me the whole stack. Is there any way to tell if this deal applies to me?

  2. I have some specific to someone’s card, because it was in the machine already, including that Post one and one for a free greeting card. I might try that one and see what happens.
    I also have one for me to get $3 OYNO when I buy those new Kellogg’s bars, but on it it said it was for my card AND ONLY THAT LOCATION. And I got that one at a store where I was on vacation, so I will not be going there again.
