This is what happens when I have classes in Lombard and Mokena on the same day… :) After my morning class, I stopped into the Lombard Kmart, mainly to look for more clearance clothes for my sons, but also to do some more double couponing. With the 5 coupons per day, per store limit, it’s not necessarily worth making a special trip -just- to do doubles… but as long as I was there… that wonderful coupon for $10 off of a $20 Kmart purchase works so nicely into the clearance clothing deals!
I was so thrilled with the jeans I found for the boys the other day in Crystal Lake that I was hoping to find more. (My youngest has worn through the knees of FOUR pairs of jeans this week, so the more new jeans I could bring home, the better!)
Here’s what I bought at $1.99 each (pre-coupon):
5 pairs Disney blue jeans
2 pairs Fisher-Price blue jeans
1 pair WonderKids flannel-lined cargo pants (for next fall)
That brought me to $15.92. I needed to get over $20 to use the $10 off coupon, so a $4.99 Wall-E shirt fit the bill.
Add in 4 bags of Halls (free with doubled coupons) and one Pedigree Dentastix dog treat ($4.29, .29 with $2 doubled coupon) and my total was $21.12. After the $10-off-$20, I paid $11.12. Nice!
After I paid, the register printed a bonus coupon for a free box of Kmart American Fare facial tissue! Cool.
Then, I headed south for my Mokena class. Afterward, I stopped at the New Lenox Kmart for another clearance run. They had a lot of shoes on sale for 50% off the lowest clearance price, and I found a couple of pairs for my little guy that worked nicely into this next deal:
Here’s what I bought at $1.99 each (pre-coupon):
2 pairs Disney blue jeans
1 pair Fisher-Price blue jeans
2 Fisher-Price shirts
2 WonderKids shirts
And, the two pairs of boys shoes were priced at $9.99 and $7.00, but got another 50% off those prices with the clearance sale ($4.99 and $3.50.)
Add in 4 bags of Turtles candy (free with doubled coupons) and another Pedigree Dentastix dog treat ($4.29, .29 with $2 doubled coupon,) plus the free box of facial tissue with the coupon from the Lombard store…
Pre-coupon total: $22.71. After the $10-off-$20, I paid $11.71. Nice!
Sunday’s Kmart flyer notes on the front page that the $1.99 winter clearance continues AGAIN through this week.

I did two of the same transactions:
2-jumbo packs of Huggies Pull-ups nighttime (but any huggies jumbo pack would have worked)
1- travel pack of huggies wipes (to get me over the $20 in huggies products)
1 – 8 pack of juicy juice boxes (free with the $20 huggies purchase – an in store tearpad!)
I used (in this order):
1 – $10/$20 purchase
2 ($2/1) huggies coupons that doubled to $4/1 per coupon
1- Buy $20 in huggies products get the juicy juice free (value up to $2.99, so it doesn’t double)
final cost – $3.07 before taxes! For all those diapers and juice :o)
the math:
9.99 (pull-ups jumbo pack)
9.99 (pull-ups jumbo pack)
1.09 (travel pack of wipes)
2.49 (juicy juice 8 pack)
-10 Q
-4 2xQ
-4 2xQ
-2.49 FreeQ
I have made two trips to the CL KMart location – it’s on the way to my mother’s house, so not a special trip.. The first visit was all clearanced winter/fall clothes and one normal huggies transaction using $3 coupons because the coupon doubling hadn’t started yet. The CL Kmart has been pretty good about letting you use other coupons with the 10/20, as long as you use the 10/20 coupon FIRST. This would have been a little better if I had had any current huggies wipes Qs.. oh well!

only being allowed to double 5 coupons UNTIL I heard it was 5 doubled q’s per transaction. Did 4 orders yesterday.
paid $26.xx ($4.70 was tax) and will send in for 2 separate $10 P&G rebates giving me $20 back……which works out to $1.64+tax.
3-Tide
3-Charmin
6-Snuggle
2-Pull-ups
2-packs of gum
1-welch’s grape juice
2-swiffer dust and spray
3-$1.99 clothing items
2-dentek floss picks
so all in all a very good and fun shopping day!!!!

They seem to be pretty slack on these coupon rules, which benefits the customer no doubt. According to the official policy, it was supposed to be a total of 5 coupons doubled per day per card. But if they’re doing per transaction that’s even better.
When I went to the Lombard store, they would not accept my $10 off $20 with my doubled coupons. So I wonder if the cashier that gave me problems was unavailable when Jill went in.
