Reader Mark recently tried the O’Hare WallyPark, and here’s what he had to say:
“The O’Hare WallyPark location opened about 4 months ago. It is the cheapest “secured” lot. I say that because if you read reviews, the employees steal stuff out of your car. So don’t leave anything in your car while they have it.
“WallyPark was THE BEST experience and a very GREAT price from Groupon. WallPark is just as far as [O’Hare’s Economy] Lot F. You are not stuck in a parking lot. I dropped off our SUV right at the door. The valet helped me with our bags, gave me a claim ticket… and we were inside nice & warm. No exposure to the elements!
“There was a variety of muffins & cookies, granola bars, sliced fresh fruit, bottles of Tropicana Orange Juice, coffee, bottled water…all free!! Several shuttles were waiting to take us to the airport right outside the the door. The shuttle takes you right to the terminal of your airline. Pickup on the return was just as easy! As soon as you have your luggage, call the pick up number.
A shuttle will be at Bus Terminal #1 within minutes.“While you are on your way back, they fetch your car, so it will be ready for you by the end of the 5 minute trip back to WallyPark (Lawrence Ave. & Mannheim Rd.) It will be at the valet door waiting for you. Then grab more free food & beverages on your way out.
Paying was a snap! They added $3.00 airport fee. And CROOK County tax…but that tax was on the reduced Groupon rate, so it wasn’t bad.“Valet basics: I would empty EVERYTHING out of your car. I would recommend taking the worse of you vehicles, because valets treat cars horrible. I’ve bought enough WallyPart Groupons for several trips I have coming up this spring & summer.”
