Happy Mother’s Day again! Thanks for bearing with Sunday deal updates coming a little later than usual, but it is Mother’s Day, and spending the day with my children was the best thing I could have done today.
As my Mother’s Day gift to you, please enjoy this little video that I shot tonight after returning home from a wonderful day out with my family. This is a short how-to video that will teach you how to fold an origami paper cup out of a single sheet of paper. In my life as a parent, I have made hundreds of these infinitely-useful paper cups. You can make it in seconds on the go from any piece of paper that’s handy.
Why would you want to do this? Well, it’s a quick and easy way for your kids to have their own cups for sharing popcorn at the theater, snacks in the car – you name it. You can even drink out of this cup! As I was folding these in the car today for my kids, I thought… why not share it with you too? So grab a sheet of paper and follow along… (Or, watch it larger on YouTube.)

My son was into origami like crazy since last summer and he thought me that last year. We buy a big package of origami paper at Michael’s or Hobby Lobby with a 40% off Q.

My 7 year old daughter is loving this project. She just tried the water cup and it worked! She said, “I love it.” Have a great night. :)

My sweet gramma taught me that same folding cup when I was a little girl and I still remember it today. And so do my kids. Thanks for reminding me of some sweet memories.
