Lobsterfest is back, and our family headed over to the Red Lobster in West Dundee, Illinois to celebrate some recent family events and, of course, to enjoy some lobster.
- – Dueling Lobster Tails (one tail is stuffed with garlic shrimp, the other with crab salad)
- – Ultimate Surf and Turf (crab-stuffed lobster tail & grilled sirloin topped with Maine lobster meat)
- – Lobster in Paradise (coconut-breaded lobster tail with coconut dipping sauce, grilled shrimp and a tropical lobster, shrimp, and macadamia nut bake)
I am a big fan of Red Lobster’s Parrot Bay coconut sauce, and I was sold on the Lobster in Paradise platter as soon as I read the menu. My husband went for the Lobster Lover’s Dream, which is a pair of rock lobster and sweet Maine lobster tails with lobster-and-shrimp linguini Alfredo. Our children split the Dueling Lobster Tails platter.
We had a fun night filled with good food and great company. Red Lobster is one of my kids’ favorite place to go to celebrate important family happenings. Two years ago, my oldest son won a trophy in his Cub Scout Pinewood Derby, and upon winning, we asked him how he’d like to celebrate. He announced “I want to go to Red Lobster!” With the boys’ recent Pinewood win, we were due to celebrate at Red Lobster once again.
PS: Do not even ask how many Cheddar Bay Biscuits this family consumed. Our server wisely brought two baskets to the table and kept them full. Is there a better restaurant dinner roll than that delectable butter/garlic/cheese combo? No, there is not.
More about Red Lobster’s Lobsterfest
Lobsterfest, the King of all promotions, is back and better than ever! Red Lobster is featuring new mouthwatering lobster selections alongside classic favorites available exclusively during Lobsterfest. This year’s Lobsterfest celebrates the best of the best flavors our guests have come to know and expect from Red Lobster.
Nothing compares to the succulent, delectable flavor of a juicy lobster tail. At Red Lobster, we know our guests crave the best of the best when it comes to lobster, and Lobsterfest offers an exclusive opportunity to enjoy the delicious, high-quality lobster they love.
o Darden’s origins trace back to the first Red Lobster restaurant that opened in 1968 and, today, we are one of the largest purchasers of seafood, which includes North American lobster, in the United States.
o At Red Lobster, we are lobster experts. In fact, we’re the best of the best – second to none. We were the first casual dining seafood restaurant company to open locations across the nation, and today we serve approximately 10 million pounds of lobster each year at more than 600 restaurants across North America. We were also the first restaurant to deliver fresh lobster nationwide straight from the coast of New England to guests all around the country.

Thanks for the review. The food looks and sounds delicious. The close-up pictures of your husband’s plate and yours looks identical. The picture with your husband with his food on the table looks different. Do the two meals looks so similar?

Last month my wife & I were able to use 2 coupons at Red Lobster.
Periodically the newspaper has one in one of the weekend coupon insert sections which is usually a $4 or $5 off Q.
Use the free appetizer coupon when you join the club on their website. https://www.redlobster.com/club/
After joining, they email the Q to you within minutes.
But ask the waiter/waitress if you can use both.
They have to get it approved with the manager.
We got the build your own appetizer were you pick 3 items.
Which is about $11 – $12!
And of course when I pay, I used the gift cards I bought at Jewel when they had the gift card deals & bonuses…
Hope this helps make Lobsterfest that much better for everyone…

Thanks for remdining me about Lobster Fest. While my daughter doesn’t like fish, shrimp or crab, she adores lobster. We will be venturing to the West Dundee location within the next couple weeks. In the meantime I had stopped at Sam’s club for some meat and ran across a box of these biscuits you can make at home.
Will let you know how they turn out
