We went to the Arlington Heights, Illinois Star Cinema Grill location to see “Jurassic World” with our children. The theater’s located in a shopping district with ample parking in an underground deck.

As you can see, our boys couldn’t wait to see “Jurassic World.” They’d been acting like T-Rexes for a good portion of the trip to the theater!

The seats at Star Cinema Grill are comfortable. They do not recline, but they rock and lean back. Each pair of seats has a table and a movable armrest in case you want to sit a bit closer! We decided to have dinner at the theater to get the full dinner-and-a-movie experience.

Each table has a menu, notepad and call button for your server. Simply write down what you want to eat, press the button, and wait for your dinner and beverages of choice to arrive.

We visited on a Thursday evening, when cheeseburger and pulled pork sliders are just $1.25 each! We tried both kinds, and both were tasty — definitely a great deal if you’re enjoying a movie here. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, admission is $7 all day, sliders are a bargain, and there are drink specials too.

  26. One of my favorite places to see a movie – spacious & prices are very reasonable. The food is a bonus. Great place to see those long movies. When we saw Interstellar we ordered appetizers right away & told the waiter bring us the food 1/2 way through. Also great when you don’t have enough time to do dinner & a movie in between being a parent taxi service!
