Today’s the day! My blog forum’s been buzzing about a $1 Dominos Pizza deal taking place today. Here are the details…
Dominos is celebrating its 100th location in Chicago, so for 100 minutes today (noon to 1:40pm) they’re selling medium pizzas for 100 pennies each – $1.00!
There is a limit of 5 pizzas per person. Anticipate madness and pizza-induced elation at Chicagoland Dominos locations.
Note that there is NOTHING on Dominos’ website or Facebook about this promo — the WGN story is the only mention I’ve seen. You may want to call your local Dominos and verify participation.

I’m back. Probably shouldn’t have tried this today, but I did..!
I was at the Lake in the Hills Dominos at 11:30 and was ninth in line. I had called ahead at 10am when they opened, and they said no phone orders or web orders for $1.00 pizzas – you had to line up and order in person.
When I got there, it was clear they were filling phone and web orders for pizzas far before the people in line were getting theirs. I placed my order at 12:04. At 12:41, they ran out of dough and announced they would make no more pizzas. The line was wrapped around the building outside, but I had moved five feet down the counter from placing my order. I got my pizzas shortly after 1:00pm.
Meanwhile, phone and web order people came in and out picking up their $1 pizzas the entire time. There were a lot of angry people.
