Through March 6th, Sears Outlet is having a “Buy 1, Get 2 FREE” sale on winterwear! Winterwear is defined as any outerwear (coats, snow pants) long-sleeve shirts, blouses, hoodies, sweaters and nightwear.
We went to the Woodstock, Illinois store to check it out, and everyone in the family found some good buys.
Most of the boys’ shirts in this photo were $6 each. Buying three at a time? $2 each!
Interestingly, there’s a sign at the register saying that the Buy 1 Get 2 Free is calculated by totaling up three items, then taking 67% off the price off. If you buy items with varying prices, this can actually work in your favor. The two hoodies at top right in the photo were marked $8 each. They rang up with two shirts priced at $6 each. The register takes 67% off the total of the three ($20) and subtracts $13.30, making them $6.60 for the three — even a better deal than paying $8 for one and getting the other two free.
My daughter found three blouses priced at $7 each. She paid $7 for all three, or about $2.33 each. I also found three $7 shirts for myself – deal!
My husband found three sweaters priced at $9 each. He paid $9 for all three, or $3 each – super prices for men’s sweaters!
If you’re shopping for babies or toddlers, you’ll do well during this sale too. I picked up three 3T long-sleeve tops for my niece that were priced at $4 each. Buying three for $4 is about $1.33 each!
All of the outerwear is an additional 50% off the marked price AND Buy 1 Get 2 Free. Most of the women’s coats I saw were marked $30. If you bought three, they would ring up $15, $0, and $0, making them $5 EACH – crazy cheap. They had both ski jacket and dress coat styles. They also had a few pairs of boys’ snow pants and quite a few toddler girls’ ski jackets and snow pants.
If you’ve never shopped the Sears Outlet before, the entire store is like one giant clearance rack — all overstock and no-longer-stocked items from Sears stores. Their prices are pretty good when they’re not having crazy sales, but when they are? Total bliss for a bargain hunter. We like the Woodstock store a lot because it’s huge and has an enormous amount of clothing — the building used to be a Kmart. There are also 75% off racks throughout the store where you can score great deals too. I noticed that Woodstock has quite a few pairs of girls/juniors jeans for $2.25 on the clearance rack in the girls’ department.
