… it will take another day or so to rebuild the search indexes and other site features. Please continue to bear with the speedbumps – I have been working on this for six days straight but finally, finally got everything moved over and up and running around 2pm on Saturday. There is no need to email me to let me know if the site isn’t quite behaving normally for you … I am aware. :)

Due to ongoing issues with the current server that JillCataldo.com is housed on, and continual increases in web traffic, I am in the process of moving the blog again today to a larger and more powerful webserver. I am choosing to do this today to keep the downtime to a minimum, as hopefully everyone else is spending the day outside grilling and enjoying time with friends and family. If you attempt to access the blog and find that the server is “gone,” do not panic – there will be intermittent downtime as we move from one machine to the next.

I’m so sorry you’re finding yourself having to give up another holiday. It must be very frustrating for you and your family. :-(
Hope this is the last time you have to upgrade, it’s got to be getting very expensive to maintain the blog, so I just want to say “Thank You” for all you do.

Search is suddenly acting strange. I was just trying to find my previous Menard’s posts, and it’s coming up blank.
Is that related to the server migration? If so, no big deal.
What’s the source of the latest spike in server load?

Jill, I truly appreciate all you do for us, especially the behind the scenes stuff we are blissfully unaware of. I’m thankful you’re able to do this, and know the sacrifice your family makes when you have to take care of server issues. I’m hoping that Father’s Day and the 4th of July are quiet, happy, easy days for you and your family. : )
