With another session of Super-Couponing 2: Saving on Everything approaching, I’m receiving email from people asking “If I haven’t taken Super-Couponing 1, should I come to #2?” Super-2 definitely builds on the techniques and principles taught in Super-1. There is very little review/catchup between the two classes — I am jumping right in, assuming everyone is already quite familiar with what was taught in Super-1. If you’ve not already cut your grocery bill by 30-50% with the techniques I teach in Super-1… quite honestly, you will likely be lost in Super-2. Super-2 is aimed at people who are already saving big and want to push their grocery savings to the 50%-75% mark. Anyone who’s attended Super-1 can attest to the fast pace of my first class… and Super-2 runs at an even more rapid pace! :)

I accidentally went to the SC2 session at the Elgin library, not knowing there was a SC1 session. I heard this was just added due to high demand and thought it was a repeat. But the handouts were from SC1 and SC2, so I was able to jump right in. I usually only shopped at the local Valli store for fresh food (produce/deli), Walmart and Costco. After a few hours of research, printing coupons, joining Jewel for a preferred card, and even asking friends for their coupons from their newspaper (I didn’t have the sunday Trib), I was able to shop at Jewel, with my Avenu and manuf coupons, and I saved $79! (spent about $143) I also got $15 in register rewards and tons of catalinas, so now I can utilize what I learned in SC2! Thanks so much!

Please take caution and attend Super 1 first. I did things backward and went to #2 in Elgin first thinking I already use coupons, I don’t need a beginner class. But whoa, I never used coupons like this. And Jill is very good and a fun teacher but I didnt’ get it, at all. I did not know a Catalina wasn’t salad dressing among others. Haa haa.. Well I was back last week and took #1 and realized I made a big mistake going 2nd class first. But I went to Jewel this week and spent $48 on $97 worth of stuff and that is almost half off!
